I just bought sheets of rubber and cut them to size and used spray can glue to fix up my floor. Then i gave it a spray can bed liner to make it more gripy.
I ended up with buying centramatics. Huge difference, wheels may be slightly unbalanced but its not enough to cause trouble. The beads are nice but a pain when you're changing tires.
OP, The glow plugs coming on and off could mean that your some of your GP's are fried. Are they still 24v or have you done the resistor by-pass. The GP control card will do that to prevent the other GP's from burning out too quickly.
its a fairly large resistor. I took it off and connected the appropriate wire to the 12v bus. just search for the GP resistor by-pass. You should find a thread with pics and explanations.
ETA: To do this, all you need to do is to pull the large resistor off of the firewall (center of engine...
Civi trucks run off of 12v. 24v for GP's just allows for extra cold starts. Switching over to 12v. gave me a piece of mind.
ETA: I use AC60G gp's with the proper connectors attached to the wire harness.
If a GP burns out it will increase the voltage to the other GP's causing a cascading failures of all GP's. Switch them over to 12v you won't have this problem. (But your GP will now only go off of your front battery; instead of both.)
I took my resistor off and switched my GP's to 12v.
So, that's 12 people? I'll bring some burgers or groundbeef to cook up on Blendmaster's grill. And a ton of chips.
ETA: I have a small charcoal grill I can bring if needed.
Fastnova: Possibly I will also meet you on the road as well.
chattering when you turn the key to start the engine would be the starter relay. But If you're turning to just activate GP's then its most likely the gp relay (st-85 at napa)
