What are your plans for the trailer? Parade float base? If you don't plan to use it for deck space have you considered something like an M146? They seem short enough and are S/A so it shouldn't be too much of a load on your deuce. As a bonus, they don't seem to get much affection even on...
I debated this as it would have been a good intro. I didn't for two reasons:
1) I wasn't sure how the brief profanity would be received here on SS.
2) I haven't added any music before, so I wasn't sure how to fade out video soundtrack in the middle of a clip. :)
I saved the raw footage from...

34 MVs and one VW van! Plus bikeman and me bringing up the rear in his M880. One more Deuce caught up with the group at wheelspinner's place.
Not that I'm against any SS member furthering their fleet, but it seems like the M105 would be the better firewood toter. Is it just too high to pitch the wood into (which I assume is the drawback to the deuce)?
Swap the tires, swap the bulbs, and keep the trailer...but don't cut the plug off.
Just buy yourself the proper receptacle (http://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/trreflmo12pi.html) and wire it into your truck! Not only does it discourage theft because no one else will be set up to run the brake...
I'll bring a GoPro (and try to remember to bring charged batteries). I don't have much in the way of mounts, though. Do we have any artistic MacGuyvers who can rig it up for good shots?
I'm wondering if the replacement might be most readily accomplished with a sheet metal brake and a welder. If you're going to have to buy fenders, cut the corners, re-bend it, re-weld the corners, then rivet/weld it to the trailer...I'd rather just bend new metal the right way once, weld the...
Even your trees have unions up there?!? Geez...
(Kidding aside, I've never heard that term applied to a state agency.) Welcome aboard. That truck is looking good and your travel plans sound excellent. I'm sure lots of us would love to see a write-up on that trip!
Yeah, the M929 would make it REAL easy to unload, too. I've thought that using its glad-hands would be a convenient source of compressed air. That was an interesting trailer it came on. Having only guesstimated the dimensions, I was thinking I would be able to park in on the back deck of my...
This is the main consideration that has been driving my desire for an AirBeam shelter. I figure I can drag them out solo and then let an air compressor do the rest of the work. (This thread has been a major inspiration, btw. So thanks for your detailed explanations and updates.)
