I end up over there just to go window shopping... :P
I plan on being over there tomorrow morning...
I find that it's a good place to do "research"
I did the wiper upgrade on my Deuce just last week. When I picked up the parts from my local napa store they told me that #60-750 (universal arm) had been obsoleted. But the did have 23 of them in their local warehouse.
Not sure how much different the 60-750 is from the 60-751 but you could...
Ok the curiosity has gotten to me..

In the Id box. reg 6w0550
Basically looking for a manufactured date.
Like any vintage vehicle, you'll spend your fair share of time working on getting it the way you want, but after that enjoy... If you don't like working with your hands, you might be at a disadvantage..
just my 2cents
Now back to the garage cause the Deuce is calling....
Congrats on the getting your baby home and on the promotion..
I saw the truck with the pioneer tools on it also.. I was over there on Friday picking up a injection pump for steelsoldiers so I took the time to check out the yard to see what they had sitting out there coming up for auction...
I took some hints from the tech article and what you did when it came to my wipers.
BTW the universal wiper arm part #60-750 from napa has been discontinued according to my local napa but they did have 23 of them in the warehouse.
So this is what I ended up doing.
First thing I did was...
I paid $1502 for mine last month and would say that there isn't much rust on it. Especially since it had spent a majority of it's life in the NW.
But I must say that there were 11 other rigs that were up for auction after mine, I haven,t been watching the GL site for my area for a long time but...
Yea it does. That will probably be a project for another day. I figure that I'll pull those parts out later on this week or maybe I'll pull them when I get home and set them aside for a rainy weekend project in the Garage.
Thanks for the extra motivation to get that done too. :D
Now that I have some motivation, I figured that it was time to get the m105 up to spec again.
The trailer had been apparently a parts rig for someone and had been robbed of parts. At the time that didn't concern me too much since I didn't have a tow rig with air brakes or a 24V system. I...
Well I did take pics over the weekend of the progress on repairing the brakes and the wiring that had been gutted on my m105. But those will be posted later.
I went out this morning to pick up 2 tons of wood pellets.
This is the first time that I've had people take pictures of my ride while driving down the road.
Oh this is so much fun. :D :D
I see your point about the cables hanging down.
I had shortened up the cables to reduce the chance of that happening, but I may end up using some steel brake line to make a protected wire way for the cable and tuck it up tight to the frame.
