Aleigh,
Thank you. I found the correct sizes of "O" rings at Marting Fluid Power (MFP) and was interested if you ever located the valves. Thanks for answering my question, and suggesting commercial like valves. I will see if MFP can get these. It would be nice to do a full rebuild of these...
Aleigh - where you able to locate the valves? I took my manifold completely apart and replace with all new "O" rings.. The only thing I did not disassemble is the pulling the insides out of the selector valves since I could not get the knob to release. The "O" rings where replaced on the...
Yes, the HMMWV kit will work, I had to purchase a few hose fittings to do the configuration that I wanted. The fittings are readily available from RED DOT distributors. I have sold the truck, and do not have the receipts to look up which fittings. But if I remember right it was just straight...
Mark, yes, Randy and I should get together with you there. You can't miss the M1078s. But if they are scattered in the camping sites, they may be difficult to find.
Randy, I will be taking mine out to the Falcon Field ARIZONA HISTORICAL MILITARYTRANSPORT ASSOCIATION show. Would like to see your truck there. I will try and get mine ready with functional shower/hot water for the May Overland Expo show. By then, I may either have it lowered on the truck, and...
Any update on what fixed the problem? I have the same problem, for the cab lift. If I crack the return line on the cab hydraulic cylinder, it lifts the cab, but you loose hydraulic fluid. Otherwise the cab goes up part way, and then there is pressure that stops the cab from lifting any more. Any...
What did you figure out on this problem. Mine is doing the same thing. I replaced the hydraulic cab cylinder with the newer armored cab model and it has the same problem.
Did you mount the condenser on the back of the cab? I am just missing the AC bracket #2 that goes to the block and the pulley and then I will be ready to install mine. Where did you locate those parts? I bought the evaporator from the same gentleman in San Diego as you. Looking forward to seeing...
Wow, you are making great progress. I need to get some time away from work so I can work on mine and also come out and see your truck in person again.
What is the height now for the top of the box?
How about doing container locks on each of the for corners for quick removal like Soni did with the FEMMT? I was thinking about doing something like that with mine, so it would be an easy change if I ever want to put the bed back on, or 5th wheel modules. I would just need to either buy a...
When do you plan to sit the cargo box on the truck? If I have a chance, I would like to see the truck with the bed off to take a few photos so I can determine how to install my living quarters on to the frame.
I was thinking about going and checking these seats from the same guy. He advertises a bunch of different types on Craigslist. Since yours are coming along so well and look great, I guess I will need to start working on mine as soon as I get a break from work. Keep up the good work and fabrication.
Clearance check with depth indicator
I made a tool like the military uses out of aluminum. I will remake the pedestals for the stand out of steel, since the aluminum I bought seems to vary with temperature. I will have a machinist mill the steel pedestals to 2.170 for the mean measurement when...
Thanks everyone for your information on this repair. Mine started to puff the hydraulic fluid out of the vent a few weeks ago. I have order all the seals and a extra hydraulic pump that I will rebuild and have a spare. I found information from SPX where as mentioned earlier in this thread they...
