No instrument lights is almost always attributed to tarnish on the lamp socket contactors and the conducting film. Clean them with 400 grit sandpaper and reassemble. P.S. If your Gen1 and Gen2 lights won't light up with the switch in the on position they won't charge.
Won't work. The neg of the rear battery is connected to the positive of the front battery. If you hooked your inverter to both batteries you would be shorting the neg to the positive. Draw the circuit out on paper and you'll see. Get a second inverter or a 24v inverter.
Depends on the amperage of your alternators. 26 v (typical idle voltage) X 80 amps = about 2000 watts. Figure about 10% power loss. so about 1800 watts.
Took the dash apart again and checked resistance from the main plug contacts through the bulbs and they were open. Took the bulbs out of the sockets and used 400 grit sandpaper to polish the tarnish off the membrane contacts and the outer bulb socket contacts. I used a emery board that I...
Well, the bad voltmeter blew the fuse to the voltmeter relay. Disconnected the voltmeter and replaced the fuse but no joy. It appears that the Gen 2 relay is in the charging circuit. Is this correct? Should I be able to hear the Gen 2 relay click when I turn the ignition switch on?
Okay, Alt 1 was not charging and troubleshot it to a burned out Alt 1 light. Took out instrument cluster and cleaned all the contacts and checked all the bulbs. The voltmeter wasn't working or connected and the needle was way off scale so I connected it while I was putting the dash back...

If your head gasket is leaking into the water jacket, you will be seeing bubble when you take the radiator cap off (when cold of course). Also the leaking ggas will cause the coolant to be forced out or the overflow into the reservoior.
A BUNCH of 9.00 x 20 DT tires mounted on deuce rims. I have no use for them and they need to go. There are 17 of them that will sit there and rot so I may as well give them away. You have to come and pick up as few or as many as you want. Some have decent tread, some are flat. PM me and make...
God gave you the ability to reason and to prepare. If you think there is a SHTF event coming, you should be as prepared as you can be. Jesus told the disciples to sell their cloaks and buy a sword to prepare for the futire.
Then you might want to reconsider and get a deuce, i/e. M35A2. In an emergency the multifuel engine can run on darn near anything flammable. Members here have run them on everything from paint thinner mixed with used oil to waste vegetable oil, transmission fluid, and gasoline mixed with used...
