    Multifuel Automatic Transmisson?

I don't know if anyone answered the allison tranny question, but I believe you will have to have engine data going to the transmission for it to operate. As far as making the A3 a manual, oh don't we wish! It's a lot better behaved with the 395's on it though. Still not a speed demon, but...

    Tire Mounting help??? OR/ WA?

Totally cool, hope you have some luck there. I highly encourage anyone looking at doing this to consider the m35a3 rims. The 395's sure do sit nice on them, and you can do the work yourself with very little other than a good impact wrench and a tool or two. I had the same consideration when...

    Tire Mounting help??? OR/ WA?

Unless you are thinking you will BUY split rims like a recenter hemtt or A3 rims, etc. In which case, I posted up some pics for how to do it with pretty explicit directions. You're welcome to bring them up and I'll help you do it, but I don't know if driving all the way down to portland for...

Fan on A3 does not run/come on

Might be able to help. Look at the bottom of the fan on the passenger side. There should be a ground wire, and a power wire. Trace the power wire up. If it's like mine, they disconnected the fan to reduce in cab heat for desert ops. The wire will run from the heater switch all the way over...

    m35a2 mods/performance upgrades

Hey Cummins86! LocoHosa covered almost everything you'd ever want to know about the deuce and speed modifications. My two cents is pretty simple though. I've driven my multifuel at 72 mph gps speed on a very very good freeway. My tires were new, my suspension tight and dashboard Jesus...

    M35A3 tire changing to 395/85/20 part 1

Hey Joe! Yep, 395's on the A3 rims works pretty darn well. You can put them on with hand tools, no forklift or engine hoist required, and the beadlocks add just a little security to your driving. I don't think internal beadlocks are illegal, but who knows. I don't think I'm going to get...

    M35A3 tire changing to 395/85/20 part 1

Well, apologies for not getting these posted sooner. The bobber was the m109a3 and the m105a2. The M35A3 is now wearing new shoes (395's) and is much happier with traffic and vice versa.

    M109A4 Sub-Zero Oil Field

Well, it's time for us to have that little chat. This is usually done by someone who seems like they just want to avoid answering your questions, but in this case I'm going to do both. Read your TM's. If you don't have your Technical Manuals yet, better get a hold of a copy or two. Jatonka...

Fuel pump has gone and left me.

It's the in tank pump. Fuse is good, pump, not so much. It's got power, ground, spins freely (the bottom) and no noise or movement when power is applied. I've got a PM already for a replacement, from illinois, but I'll take another if you got it. You see, the circus may come back and those...

Fuel pump has gone and left me.

It appears to have run off and joined the circus. Looks like the connector or the motor is dead, as it's been heavily abused and stuck on there with swedging. Anyone know where I can get another one, as we miss it and hope it comes home soon.

    M35A3 tire changing to 395/85/20 part 1

Ok, update to the mighty tire change. After much research, and lots of spare time, I mounted a 395 on a m35a3 wheel. With stock m35a3 beadlock. It fits just fine. Make no mistake, it's NOT an easy thing to get going, you should have a impact wrench capable of 425 ft pounds of torque to put...

Won my first A3 on GL today

Glad it was easy to fix. I have learned to love driving my a3 particularly when I am driving around town or at the beach!

Won my first A3 on GL today

Hey Steve! Ditto on hope you are home! My a3 rides pretty smooth with a mix of contis. And michelins, you shouldn't be that shaky. Maybe your wheelweights?

    M109A4 recovery in progress...

Yep, that's your top end. If you are getting 55 at 2950 (rev limit, except when downhill), then your speedometer is probably broken and reading too high. My suggestion is to stick at 48-50 MPH and call it a day until you get bigger tires. Why? You're likely going to have a seal or two that...

    New ticking noise- 1970 m109a3

Well, it's time to put this one to bed. It sounded like an exhaust leak because it was an exhaust leak. Just wasn't on the exhaust manifold. It was leaking out the head gasket at the dead center of the back of engine on cylinder number 6. One valve grind kit later, and 20 hours of...

    M109A4 Sub-Zero Oil Field

Nope, not a ton of experience, I just pay attention when everyone talks. Of course, some of that was my experience, so I paid attention when I talked. :-) You'll do fine!

2011 Wa State Mini Rally #5

What, you're going to let 2" of solid steel stop you? hmm. it stops everything else. Maybe you have something there? I'm thinking you could drill press it for the shank. The really hard part is tapping the 2" of steel for threads. Though technically you could drill 1/2 of it slightly...

    Deuce M35A3 Tires

Hey Joe? I've got a spare wheel cylinder, if you want to take it off the axle it's on? And I think I might have a couple of tires, 9.00x20's for you. The sidewalls are better than yours, but they are a bit scalloped. Still seem pretty usable. Yours for the taking. Jerry

2011 Wa State Mini Rally #5

Actually, the thought is not to drill the receiver tube, but to drill the shank of the hitch. removing the slop is by tightening the bolt to the side of the receiver, which draws the slop out. At least, that's the way it looks in my brain.
