The only reason napa lists a "few" different ones is that they are made by different after market manufactures, and some include the fan and some don't, other than that they are all identical. Except for the A/C trucks, all non A/C trucks use the same blower motor. Some will have the fan...
There are only a fee minor wiring differences on a 6.5 compared to the 6.2, one is the "TPS" or throttle position sensor, which is used to control shift points on the 4l80e transmission, other than that the wiring is pretty close, of course the 6.5 is a 12 volt system only but you where already...
the 6.2 diesel tv cable bracket part number is 14038643, the rod is 14038642. It can be found here, http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_product=2990254&ukey_assembly=431204&ukey_make=1024&ukey_model=14483&ukey_driveline=0&ukey_trimlevel=15548, it is not available anymore so most...
installing a 4l80e is an expensive way to go, you will have $1000 dollars just in the stand alone computer, not to mention the cost of the trans, and other modifications. The 700r4 is the cheaper way to go, plus no electronic computer to mess with. With a few simple internal upgrades the 700r4...
You will have to run a 12 volt wire for lockup, not sure if the transfer case will bolt up. Also will have to fabricate or find a 700r4 tv cable bracket. Other than that should bolt right up, all the linkages should be the same.
I have have done countless 700r4 transmissions, as for your M1009 the overdrive doesn't help much, to low of an rpm in overdrive. But the first gear helps a lot, it is a 3.06 to 1, verses the turbo 400's 2.48 to 1, that lower gear is great for getting the truck moving easier with less power...
Inside the torque convertor is a clutch, when pressure is applied to it, usually this only happens after 4th gear or overdrive has been engaged, the torque convertor clutch engages so it can't slip anymore, so the torque convertor, input shaft, and output shaft are now locked together, so the...
Just considering the fact that the truck is only rated to haul 2500 lbs, and the trailer is only rated for 1500 lbs, for a total of 4000 lbs. then that means it was a little over loaded.
Went and collected some wood. Being the man that I am..................I had to weigh said load! Truck weighs 6000 empty, and trailer weighs 1280 empty, gross weight was 13060 lbs -6000 lbs. -1280 lbs. =5780 lbs of wood!
