Here is everything pretty much done, new brakes, new seals, new brake drums, and everything as clean as I could get it. Test drove the truck, shifts at a nice rpm now and drove good!

As you can see the right side is caked full of gear lube, it was extremely nasty. There is the little "C" clip that holds the axle from coming out of the axle tube, not much holding it in, but surprisingly it works well. Also it is probably good I did this repair when I did, as the rear end...

Then moved on to the axle seal, while mostly everything was torn apart for the one side I asked Jeff if I should fix other seal on the left as well, plus the brakes on the one side where junk and the rotors where 60 thousands past the minimum so they where junk as well.

The glow pug solenoid was the wrong one, installed a new one from performance SS608 equivalent to the one from napa. had some wires crossed on the glow plug switch, some blown fuses, and a bad connection in the wiring for the volt gauge. That fixed all the dash electrical issues.

Jeff brought is M1009 out with a few issues, fuel gauge not working, glow plug switch not working, Gen 2 light not working, volt gauge not working, trans shift at high rpm, and a leaking axle seal.

Could also be a bad trans vacuum modulator.

Did you ever get your tach installed, do you have pics/video?

Getting the transmission rebuild close to being done, almost the whole trans is put back together. One little plastic piece inside the pump stopped me from doing any work, can't finish until I get the new part this afternoon.

Also in the pics just below we have a new correct TV cable, and a new correct 700r4 dip stick and tube! not in the pics is the clean trans pan with a new magnet.

More pics of sun shell, clean trans, 2/4 band servo that is disassembled, and trans reassembly jell. This is a must when rebuilding transmissions, NEVER EVER put a trans together dry, it is not done on a bearing don't do it to the trans. That is a sure way to fry one in a couple of hundred...

Starting to get some more parts in, it is taking longer to get parts because of Labor Day. The trans is completely torn down to the bare bones. Cleanest it has ever been since it was new!! The new clutch packs are rated for up too 1000 hp, got a new beast smart sun shell that is rated for...
