Lock out hubs gave me 1 1/2 MPG. I run all ten tires at 65PSI when on road. And try keeping the the truck at 45MPH. Slowing down makes a big difference in milage. And it keeps the engine at it's peak tourque. Where it is at it's most efficent. If you run a civi vehicle at its max speed it won't...
I've tried the search option and looked in the FAQ's. But no luck. Is there a way to keep from being logged out when repling to a post or a PM? If it takes more than a few minutes to type I get logged off the site and loose everything i typed. Help?
Jesus, The casings are very rough cast. This causes alot of turbulance in the air and exaust gas flow. By machining the bores in my lathe and porting/polishing the casings the airflow can be increased. This will not add boost butit will add CFM's of air through the engine. To increase boost...
I have the same as AZ Deuce. The elephant ears. I like those the best. Very little vibration and easily removable when off road. The West Coasts vibrate too much and get knocked off in the woods.
I love my M52A2. I stuck with the multi 5ton because alot of parts enterchange with my M35. And that 51 is probally a rare truck by now. Save it if you can.
5tonpuller,
I put 3 different angles on the intake side of the compressor side housing and blend them together with radiuses. And polish out the rough casting on the discharge. This takes turbulance out on the discharge and the intake is able to swallow more air. The exaust gas casing it also...
I just fought this problem with mine also. It turned out to be the stablizer shock mounted to the tierod. I used a larger one from 4wheel parts wholesalers. The original was shot.
My 1028 is a 86 model. No A/C and delco alt's. But it has the 205 Transfercase. Does yours have the ID tags on the drivers side door? Is the interior A/C? Or only hook ups for the shelter?
There is a relay under the dash near where the radio would be. It's small. About a inch by two inches. It has failed in the closed position. Causing the starter to turn. You can buy a A/C fan blower motor relay for a 1982 chevy truck from the auto parts store. It's the same part. Unplug the old...
Is sounds like you have two problems. The thermostat is probally not closing and the engine is running too cool. This is giving you a wet stacking condition like running a diesel genset with out enough load. Keeping the fuel/oil from burning completely. Taking 30 min to warm up isn't right. If...
Change all three fuel filters. Then chean the pickup screen inside the fuel tank. For the manuals there are some posted on the rescources section on this site.
Do you have a title from another state? If it's just a 97 form you may try a title service. Also trying different DMV locations may help. It's worked for me.
If your intrested send me a PM. If your rotor is ok i can do it for much less. If not the parts would cost much more than it's worth. If your compressor wheel or turbine edges are worn/dammaged. I'd sudjest getting a replacement. Even though it might be possable to rebalence the rotor it will...
