Re: RE: Jumpstarted Deuce only to find no/low oil pressure.
It depends on the location. I would tend not to buy from locations where they don't allow you to check vehicles out in entirety. My money is too important to me to drag one of these home only to find out it is junk unless I am...
It is my impression that they are just tossing things that don't need to be into the EUC catagory. I have been seeing CUCVs and M105 in both categories. Kind of a PITA as I am bidding on one M1009 that is in the EUC category, so I am going to have to wait to pic it up.
Today I was sick (cough cough) from work for the morning to try and get caught up on some things. One being driving next door to check out some the vehicles I am thinking of bidding on. Anyways the winch truck had dead batteries, so I jumped off my CUCV to get her running. I did the usual...
This looks like a great find, and off hand I have to say I am in for two. It would be nice to get one of these in the hands of someone with some skilz to figure out the threads and stuff before we all end up with pumps that might needs some doing. Any chance of getting some of these pump pre...
Can't you tow it back with the duece you used in the parade on the 4th? I am sure that the big tires might make things a bit interesting, but it is only a short trip.
Any chance you would sell the arctic kit by itself? Either way please post pics of the arctic kit parts as I would love to see what is involved, and I am sure I am not the only one.
As far as I know there is no one currently here is running a bypass filter system even though it has been talked about a bunch in many many many threads. I could be wrong though. Most of the discussion has been about deuce upgrades. I have a TP filter like this that I picked up in some long...
RE: laws
Yeah Wayne they snuck this giant flaming turd past us this year in the legislature. I am hoping it is overturned as parts of it don't treat all "victims" equally under the law as out of state people don't get fined for three years. I was somewhat ok with them raising some fines for...
I feel bad for the guy for having to get rid of some of his junk, but to have that many towbars rusting in the weeds is pretty sick considering many people have need of those. Of course it is his property. If the leo is trying to use a plane ride to check out his property he should probably...
I saved a 5 gallon can of old typewriter oil from disposal, and I am wondering what it is and if I can burn it. It is a very refined oil as it is very clear, it feels like a very light oil, and it does not have a strong smell to it. Like most old can it does not say much of anything on the...
Perhaps this should have been just posted to your original thread that asked the exact same thing. Also if you are looking for the filter base as stated in your prior thread then perhaps your posts should say this instead of have people AGAIN tell you how to look up the filter at NAPA.
This...
I am planning on going with a one tank system with thinned WVO. I figure I will at least give it a try for now while it is warm. The key of course being a high degree of filtration, and thinning the WVO with diesel, kerosene, or gas. Maybe a bit of acetone too. This way just like biodiesel...
RE: pump
I am interested. I found some 24vdc motors, but have not selected a pump yet. Then would come lots of machining to couple them. Any idea what type of pump it is? Gear? Gear pumps seam to be the pump of choice for hot oils. I would be looking for pre and post lubrication.
I like...
Congrats Mike. They look like nice trucks, but which is going to be yours? I am surprised that the guys at Chambersburg did not take off rear cargo cover and sell it in another lot like they like to do. If you need to borrow my towbar you can. I might be up in NoVa for the 4th. I won't need...
I had thought of attending this when you mentioned it at Aberdeen. I would be going as a vendor to get some my sides and stuff. How big is this compared to Aberdeen?
The bypass valve is an interesting subject that is really just ignored as it works in the background. Star have you tested to see if you bypass valve is activated with the stock filters? I also wonder if with inlet and outlet being on the bottom if air at the top of the filter is not reducing...
