Well Napa sells Wix filters. Wix list the primary 33511 (3511 Napa) as 10 micron. Wix lists the secondary 33512 (3512 Napa) also as 10 micron. Did you try a mixture of muriatic acid and water to eat the rust?
Also I don't know if you have covered this in another thread, but how are you...
Re: RE: looking for a bunch of cucv parts
I have several new in the crate M1008 14bolt rear axles, and several M1009 10 bolt front and rear axles that are also NOS. I will be driving up to McGuire AFB in a few weeks.
RE: duece in louisiana GL
That is not a 20 mile truck. That is a new speedometer with 20 miles on it. Look at the hours of almost 2000. I would guess that puts it up past 35,000 miles or so.
KAISER JEEP CORP TRUCK, VAN 2 1/ 2TON, 6X6, M109A3, WITHOUT WINCH, WITH DIESEL ENGINE AND MANUAL TRANSMISSION, S/ N: 4H-1239-0132-11055, WITH 22823MILES, 815 HOURS
With GL no engine pics probably mean no engine  You got a great price on that truck.
Adam thanks for the plug. I have both wood and metal M105 bows. I also have sides too. If you can find someone heading down to the Steelsoldiers meet in Ga. shipping would be easy.
Hey I think I have one of the front trailer wirring cords that goes from just under the M105's body to connect with the towing vehicle I can part with. I'll PM you.
I don't think that parting this truck is going to happen. I am going to go get it, and with luck it will in good shape. With even more luck it will have more potential then my current Deuce. I had been interested in a duel brake setup anyways for safety. This was just not what I was planning...
This is the truck I was referring to when I brought this up. I am amazed at the closing price of $1915. I feel sorry for the winner, but maybe it be ok.

I thought I was clear enough as it was the only winch truck at that location for sale...
Well it will be $1592 plus fuel for my deuce their and back. No SF97 needed as I can get that with the regular documentation in Va. Oh and then regular title fees. This might be a good time to get filtering used motor oil for the trip. Oh I forgot I get to pay tolls too. This should be fun...
Hmmm perhaps I was too strong on saying take the penalty and run. Most of the problems look to be superficial I guess, and I guess if it turns out to be nice I could replace my deuce with this one. Glad to hear about some rustproofing on these.
Yeah the VIN has 87 to start with, so I am assuming 1987 as that does have the duel brakes from the last production run. It might be nice. I just hope someone can take a look to ease my worries. I just don't need this new project, and a 10 hour drive. I was expecting to be picking up a...
Well I have been having a very bad day. This morning I mistakenly placed a bid for a M35A2C instead of the M1009 that I really wanted for everyday driving. My mistake of course for entering the bid on the wrong item, but GL is full of it. I had bid $50 when the deuce had opened as it was a...
RE: Fuel gauge won
I am also curious about the volt meter. My gauge stopped working at the same time I did a fuel filter change, but I have never been able to trace the wires to figure out what is up.
Hey mtncats glad to see another central Va. member. There are several other members scattered around the state too. I am just south of Richmond in Chesterfield. Welcome to SS.
RE: Wish us luck, going to KY to drive m54 to MA
If you have a laptop with wireless it is a good way to get to us for help just in case. You also might want to do a little research on truck stops along the way as you will save money on diesel. Also many truck stops I find give a discount for...
