Look'n good!
Additional points for an improvised, but safe, working stand.
The color match in the photo looks very nice - and after some road dirt - who will notice?
Good luck with the rest of the project.
Wow what a mess!
Another unsolicited 2cents 2cents 2cents
My first thought would be to steam clean the mess, assuming you have a nice field to let the mess drip into.
Then follow up with absorbent material to soak up any quantities, and a nice bath for all - including the dog and truck...
RE: Re: RE: Kirkersville fuel/and meeting stop
Kenny, Great job keeping everyone up to date!
Outstanding input (from some) great photos of rigs and faces.
Sorry I can't come out and play this time - so I'll start planning for next year!
Hope everyone has a safe trip & a great time.
'Dawg, great pics on the progress! How about a list of equipment that you are using and source? With warmer weather on its way I'm going to tackle the rust and flaking paint on the Pioneer Trailer. Since I don't have anything at this time I'm starting fresh equipment wise. Suggestions?
Muchas...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: New MadDawg M725 - now with more meat!
Coming along nicely 'dog! Wish I could make it to Aberdeen for the fun, but I'm LOD till after Memorial Day. Best I'll be able to do is a couple of local parades in the CUCV. I came " " this close to adding an M715 to the stable (and...
Also consider switching to an OE-254 head and then you don't have to keep changing the radials when you change frequencies - I always hated that part of the '292. Most of your '292 kit will work with that - once you find that cable.
;)
Dog - don't fret yo self - LOGIC, has absolutely NO place in the entire decision making process. "They" can prohibit various firearms (for our protection), destroy untold amounts of vehicles and military gear that could have been SOLD to collectors (we aren't ALL in the militia), prevent access...
When applying camo patterns it usually works best to start with the lighter colors since the darker colors can cover everything else. Also a more feathered or graduated change in colors works better for camouflage - very few hard straight lines in nature.
RE: Hinges
The rubber on mine was long gone and someone replaced it with door hinges. A so so job. I'm thinking about a different approach, like this guy did with his. He has photos and a link to his source. Just another possible solution.

From the map it looks like a straight run on I-80 for the most part. On my end it would be convenient to drop at Franklin, but anywhere along I-80 in North West NJ would be workable.
I'm looking at buying an M715 from a SS member and will need it moved from IL. to NJ. Anyone going to Aberdeen that might be able to move it this direction? Truck is running. I'm going in for hernia surgery next Friday so won't be real spry for awhile, plus using sick / vacation time for...
Good Info guys! I have a similar problem on the passenger side windshield. Looks like they ran the windshield wipers without a wiper blade and let the metal rub against the glass. (not that our troops would EVER mistreat a vehicle)

If you want to put a "box" where the can holder belongs on the M1009 why not pickup an ammo can (or any other strong container) of the size that fits your needs, remove the water can holder, drill holes in the bottom of the ammo box and bolt it in place?
With our current weather in the North East (a "Nor' Easter) there are a lot of people who wish that they had a fording kit (or would if they knew what one did). My section of highway was okay, but had to close ramps due to flooding on local streets. Commuters get very confused when they have to...
