I was short on time so I took a few "area" shots to include as many vehicles, etc. as possible. That M8 was driving around as I arrived (drool!). The M900s were coming in as I left (slobber!) (yeah, I went through a bunch of napkins while strolling about).
Naturally all of our fellow soldiers were trust worthy and would never forget to return a borrowed item ... but every vehicle that I had, in every command that I was in, had the vehicle number stenciled on each piece of the pioneer tool kit. Eg: HQ-3, C-25, etc. For some of my crews I considered...
I managed a quick visit first thing in the morning. Naturally most vendors were still setting up, or hadn't arrived. The location is great - lots of potential for future (bigger?) events. I didn't have an opportunity to meet anyone, since they a) hadn't arrive, or b) were busy setting up. Took a...
It is located in Sussex County, the North West corner of the state. At the junction of Route 206 and Route 15 behind the Skylands ball park. Look for Yetters Diner (home made desert!!!!)
Depending on where you are located, you can cross at Milford, PA and just follow 206 east, or cross at...
RE: Deuce Roadmaster
Oh Frank! You naughty dumpster diver. What a cool plate - I'm sure that it would be frowned on with your proximity to Real military bases. I doubt that anyone in New Jersey would even notice it on my CUCV - or better yet, my NJ DOT state truck!

Our Friends (?) at LOGSA list 3 manuals in .pdf format in this series but none of them are approved for public distribution. You would require a current security clearance to proceed to the next area to download the manuals. I'm sure that this is just another example of "reclassifying" the...
RE: Date
I don't recall any details on the M415, I saw it once in passing, in the rain. Square fenders if that helps. I'll try to get by there tomorrow (Tuesday) and take some photos of the 1/4 ton and Pioneer Tool trailers and post them here. If anyone is coming up this weekend for the MTA...
I know I'll be there, just not sure when. Due to Saturday job probably not until Sunday. Hope to meet some of you there. I belong to the club but due to work hours, etc. I'm not active at the moment. It should be quite a show from what I understand.
Still looking for a PRC-104 or GRC-213. :)
OPCOM, The -24's are up in the Reference section in case you hadn't found them already. When you mounted your MX-7778 what did you mount it to? Directly to the floor? Or some sort of shock mount? I was thinking of something in the way of a dense rubber pad since I can't seem to find the correct...
Thanks for the info - I down loaded their brochure - to add to my list of spring things to do. Today we had a light Easter snow (no joke) so it was a tad too coolish for working on the CUCV in the driveway. Spring will arrive eventually and I'll be able to address some of these types of projects.
RE: Date
I located another Pioneer Tool Trailer for sale here in Northern NJ. It is the short body type like the one in the photos at the beginning of this post. The owner is asking $300 for it. I saw it briefly, in the rain, last Thanksgiving when I was picking up my trailer. As I recall the...
Great looking truck - except for the rims. :)
Fill it with tools and you can follow everyone else around and put the parts on when they fall off. Not that it would actually happen to any of OUR trucks.

It is a shame that so much really good stuff has gone that way, or been parked or stacked in the open for years and allowed to rust away, or as they did here in New Jersey with M48A5 tanks and M113 APCs, dumped in the ocean to form artificial reefs. Thanks for the years of great service .. now...
RE: Have Never Seen A Manual For Them...
Please try to upload that info. I've been looking for it too but to date haven't had any success. Just the TM for the current basic trailer and it has had "improvements" that ours don't have. Like a crank up front leg, better brakes, better lights, and...

I just uploaded a copy of AR 850-5 which covers the marking of assorted equipment, including vehicles. Read it and the changes and it should answer some of the questions about the meaning (or at least origin) of bumper numbers, as well as showing what goes where on a variety of WW II vehicles...
