I bet the brakes on a 2-1/2 would be TOUCHY with a 5-ton air-pack.
As stated above, when the brakes are right, parts and adjustments, they will lock the tires and that is 100% that can be expected from the brake system.
Quicker is more of a tire issue (assuming locked tires) loads are not as big...
What is the maximum listed pressure for your tires as printed on the sidewall?
Confirm alignment (toe), good shocks, and maximum tire pressure. The listed 50 is not enough for a loaded truck on hardball.
That is for both. There is no significant change in the footprint of the the G177 with lower pressure like there is with the NDCC's. All you gain is a longer contact patch (by a little) not wider. The tread contact patch perfromance is totally different due to the belting.
Welcome from Marietta. Did anyone confirm the requirement to come to the SSGR11? Or did I just miss that part, again.....
Bring the toy and see how really bad this disease can get..........
Considering the weight, I recommend roughly 70 psig in the fronts and 40 psig in the rears, assuming you continue to run duals.
I run 110 in the fronts on Squirt but then she has roughly 9,000# on that axle.
Try these pressures and run them a little, look at the contact patch, if it is not fully...
Any specific reason why a 3 trumpet? You do not have enough volume (as stated above) for that rig.
A single trumpet horn is way loud enough. I have a 30 inch Grover on Squirt and personnel outside the cab can FEEL it from 100 feet and hear it for over 1/4 mile.
73m819, Several people noticed the actions directed to the heavies. But....to the credit to the GAMVPA guys, they have seen the error of their ways and are making it a welcome to all event this year and none of this "move to the rear please"
Over half of that organization are SS people, they...
Need 2 mediums and 2 large Rally shirts. Prefer short sleeve but will take whatever.
On the hardball convoy, assuming to town, we need to be sure that the local law engorcement knows it is a trail ride event and not a bunchof whackos. PR can be our friend..........
Welcome to the green sickness, er...hobby.
Lost of good info here, just be willing to listen.
Recommendation to come to the Georgia Rally is excellent, and a chance to push the toy.

A1 to A2 difference is the 427 vs the 465. Other parts are just alterations as the trucks evolved and over time. Multi (465) conversions were done from gas and A1's. Sprag vs air cases are only a matter of time of assembley or re-assembly.
A1's did have the low exhaust but many had clean air...
I think we all SERIOUSLY agree on the no drugs thing. My fault initially on the punk, I offered to Mike (DT) to recover the failed jeep thing so he could fix it and go away. We made it as a (as expected) SS family recovery, Tigger, Dumpster Poppop, and others, and points with Mike on what kind...
Squirt with Little truck will be there Wednesday hopefully early, unless I get screwed coming through downtown Atlanta like last year........
Ready and willing to assist, will be making some scouting runs after disembarking, just need another out of the way place for Squirt and tag-along.
