Check that wiring on the coil. This picture is just NOT right. One side of the coil has to be grounded and the other side powered. That is not what I am seeing in the picture.
Use proper rope ends, avoid cable clamps, they reduce the effective strength of the rope.
TERMINATIONS EFFICIENCY RATING

FLEMISH EYE SPLICE 1/4" TO 1" DIAMETER AND SMALLER 95%

Aw-right now, we need some more pictures Pleeeeeze. How about some sounds of the first coughs??????
Do not be mean. Inquiring minds (and nosey people) just wanna know.
Zout, just remember......timing is everything, in more ways than one.
DH, Not over $2000. Nice runners are available for $3500 to $4500. At this point you have to assume the engine is stuck and all brake hydraulics are shot, along with the fuel system.
What is the condition of the cab and bed floor, especially the battery box under the crew seat?
To check for stuck thermostat, let it warm up and check the top hose, if it is not HOT then thermostat is stuck. IF the hose is hot, feel the face of the radiator, if it is cool from top to bottom radiator is clogged. (New radiator not likely.)
Let us know.
" Squit-truck and I will be in communication with each other as we make him D R O O L all over himself. "
Zout is just being mean to me..............
So who all ELSE is planning on visiting Kennesaw?
Jersey, Well not exactly, the power divider on a commercial twin screw truck when released (open) allows differential action between the rear axles. When locked it powers both rear axles.
Biggest issue I see is that it will only allow the rear axle to be disconnected, and that is the one that should remain or poor traction and axle hop becomes a problem due to the rear suspension configuration.
Recon of the trails has open some interesting options. We have new areas with hills to crawl, and obstacle course for those breve enough. If the weather cooperates we will have slip slides, and pits to attempt, if it remains dry, we have a sand/dirt/dry creek bed to tempt us. (Winch access is...
Blackmagic94,
Thanks for the info, I had no clue that the 3500 DRW has that kind of capacity. That is equal to the deuce. GIven that I personally would much rather be sitting in a deuce at that kind of weight than a 3500. (Not taking anything away from the 3500, with that statement, except...
Side bar...Just what 1-ton(s) has a GCVW of over 23,000#.
Just because I want to know, we use 1-tons to pull our CR trailers and that would be good info.
Towing 1 to 1 (weight) is bad enough and takes a great deal of attention. A modern 1 ton truck is just over 1/2 a deuce, NOT a good plan. Go is not a problem, stop is, steering is optional, just ask the wandering deuce and the 1 ton wheel chock in front.
