What did everyone get from Redstone today?

I picked up 4 M35A2C's today. Since they were mislabeled as M35A2's and you had to look at the pics really hard, I think that most people missed them. I plan on parting out one truck. Anyone want a drop side bed? Anybody here get one of the trucks with MG mounts?

    kerosene as a fuel

Back when gas was $4 and diesel was $4.50, I saw kerosene at Home Depot for $9/gallon in a 5 gallon can. They didn't sell many at that price.

How do you Paint a Deuce?

It's a big green Army truck. Paint it any way you want. I take it to the car wash and blast off all the loose paint , the dirt and grim. The I sand with 80 grit sandpaper on the worst areas. I might go back with 120 or 150 if the paint is too gouged by the 80. I use a rust converter called...

    Rapco paint reducing?

I used paint thinner. The clear kind, not the white kind. I thinned about 1:1 or a little more. I shot with a Binks Mach1 at 45psi and about 1 psi on the 2 quart pressure pot. I think I could shoot with less pressure, though and reduce the overspray. What I like about air spraying paint is...

    Redstone Deuces - 2 questions

If they pay $400 to move a $200 M105, then they are probably paying $1500 to move a $1200 deuce. And then giving GL $500 per sale. The government could lose money selling, well, you know.

    It's unfair

I don't sell the ones I want to keep. Instead I buy another and then sell it for an profit and use the money to feed my habit.

    New m1009 new headaches

Look at the fuel return line on top of the injector pump. Pull off the rubber return line and remove the fitting with the nipple on the injector pump. Try to blow through the fitting. If there is no air flow or very little air flow, take a hammer and punch and break the glass check ball...

Take it apart and rinse it with soapy water and then let it dry for a couple of days. It will probably work just fine.

    dump-deuce

Your best bet would probably be to send the cylinder to a machine shop that specializes in hydraulics. They and probably build up the cylinder by welding and re-grind it to new specs. I wouldn't expect it to be cheap, though.

will deuce run on oil mixed with nitro?

I have used regular gasoline to "thin" the motor oil 50/50. The truck ran fine. It ran so good that I have wondered why multifuel engines were never made for standard size trucks.
