Somemedic, thanks for the detailed instruction. My truck did much the same thing. First it ran fine, but then it started to lose power and eventually had practically no power at all and would barely run. I took off the fuel return hose at the nipple and then removed what I believe to be a...
It would be iffy. How deep was the water? How long did it sit in it? The trucks are NOT "waterproof" but will keep out water for a short time. If the tranny and transfer case were underwater for any length of time, then they are most likely shot and will need replacement. Open the drain...
I had to replace the starter because it had a bad solenoid (the freaking solenoid was $175!) so I replaced the starter and converted the truck over to 12v, too, and got a lifetime warranty on the starter.
The starter spins fine and I figured that I would rather let someone else reap the...
Okay, I have a bad solenoid on my starter. I took the starter out and used a set of jumper cables to hook up the starter. When I shorted the Batt terminal to the big starter terminal, the motor spun, but when I shorted a screwdriver across the small starter terminal, it did nothing. Bad...
RE: Re: RE: Redstone Listing Descriptions
I just recovered two today. All were listed as "runs". What they forgot to tell me was that one was missing the instrument cluster and a second had no brakes. The pictures were so poor that you could not see the missing instrument cluster. Be VERY...
RE: Re: RE: customer notified (paid in full invoice) 3577
This Aaron fellow handing 3577 is a joke. I had to fax him the original EUC TWICE and the corrections TWICE more. My EUC status STILL says submission pending.
In interest of full disclosures, the auctions should remain viewable for 60 days AND the winning bidder should be disclosed. I have proof that one person ran the bid up on AT LEAST 14 trucks, winning several, and then didn't pay for them or take delivery of ANY of them. He ran the bid up on one...
TWO WEEKS after I sent my EUC until someone FINALLY looked at it.
Why do we have to fill out an EUC EVERY TIME we purchase a vehicle?
Why do we have to fax it in?
Why can we not just fill out an online form and submit it where it then goes directly into a data base that is then routed to...
Sounds like a transmission problem. Check for correct transmission fluid level and check the line to the transmission vacuum modulator and the vacuum modulator itself. I'll bet is one of the three.
Shout out from Mt Juilet, just east of Nashville. I bought a 1 ton CUCV from GL a couple of months ago and I am hoping to get it shipped soon.
Keep a lookout on GL for an M1008A1, that's the military designation for the Chevrolet 1 1/4 ton CUCV.
