Need a little help, one or many of my injectors are starting to fail, fuel getting in to oil. Where should I get injectors from, should I get new ones or rebuilt ones. I have not done very much research on 6.2's injection system, only the cummins engine is all I have ever researched or worked...
If I lived closer I would do it. I have done several of these, one of them I installed an np205 behind the 700r4. It would cost more than $2000 with shipping or driving the truck to Michigan, plus parts and labor.
do you think the water sensor would also be just a simple cut and splice, I see you said you don't have that feature but was wondering if you might know?
I just advanced my timing about 4-5 degrees, it knocked a little bit more than usual, almost not noticeable. But it did give it new life, feels like I have a 350 chevy under the hood!
Ya I really like the new steering shaft! Yes it was worth the money, made the steering very firm but not stiff, very little steering is now required to make the truck change direction! The steering box brace helped to! Its almost like driving a sports car steering, love it!
Sits about 1/2 an inch lower in front, as for ride it is a bit stiff with the 4 leaf spring but still very comfortable ride. the standard 3 leaf springs were $110 a piece, the 4 leaf the ones I purchased were $150 a spring.
I used 22-402HD there a 1900 lb 4 leaf spring instead of the stock 22-402 1400 lb. 3 leaf spring. As for the ride, I don't know yet it is still on jack stands.
Ok I didn't do the lift, just bought new "4 leaf HD" springs for the front and ORD greasable shackle kit, new U-bolts, now I just have too finish putting everything else back together.
Ya I have read sharecropper build, would like to do a frame off restoration but I have to many projects going on right now. I am almost tempted to just buy new stock front springs with ORD's greasable bushing kit and call it good for now. I would like to start the frame off resto on my wifes...
My wife loves hers, the neighbors enjoy seeing them, I daily drive them, most people give me a thumbs up but there is the occasional snobby look I get.
I think I am going too need some feed back (opinions), I can't decide if I want too do a shackle flip or just go with a new spring in the rear. I like the shackle flip because it is a stronger mount, but I don't like it because it moves the axle forward, also my rear spring is starting to show...
