I keep seeing reference to the "waste gate" turbo for the 5-ton. My manual gives the wastegate turbo on the LDS-465-1 engine and a non-wastegate turbo on the LDS-465-1A. Just like the two hole injectors on the -1 and single hole injectors on the -1A. Thoughts??

Why did you put grease in the steering knuckle space if you have Spicier joint axles?

The old Timken marked axles are the same as the newer marked Rockewells. Which front axle joint does it have? Bendix or Spicer? You do not have to match sides but do need to be sure that the steering angles are acceptable to the most restrictive joint installed.

I thought the LDS-465-1 was the wastegated turbo and the LDS-465-1A was non wastegate. At least that is the way all the LDS-465's I have worked with were. Or is this kinda like the one hole vs two hole injector issue...............

Also, look very closely at the throttle valve linkage. It goes from the cross shaft at the intake manifold. If the torsion spring has broken the transmission will default to first and ONLY shift at governor RPM. As AMG says, Governor weights will also stick one in low.
