Just so you don't do that again, get some red electrical tape and put a few wraps around the positive cable. The red tape can be found at the big box DIY stores.
They make a roof sealant for RV's, comes in silver or white, might work in your application. White would definitely reduce the inside temperature of the box. I can't tell but did you leave the original 16.5 wheels on, or go to 16's? Nice job! Want to paint mine?

Could better access been accomplished by removing the glove box? Nice job! You are correct about nothing to hang on to when entering from the shotgun side, one of the BossLady's biggest complaints.

The Hewitt Industries unit is self powered and the manufacturer will provide 24 LED lighting upon request. You can also select different dial background and LED colors. I chose a black dial with white numerals and red LED backlighting, to mimic the Deuce's OEM gauges.
