Bjorn,
Have you purchased your rod bearings yet? If you have, I know you scout out the best prices on stuff so I was wondering where you got them.:-D

Carl, I don't know if you got antique tags or not, but if you did, the regular inspection date for all vehicles with ant. tags (after your initial insp.) is April, not your birth month. Many inspection stations don't know this.

Do you have a vented cap on your fuel tank? If so, is the vent open? Perhaps you are drawing a vacuum and when you open the filter, it sucks the fuel back into the tank.
I don't believe there is a check valve in the system. I know from experience that you can siphon fuel through an in tank pump.

There ought to be a way to set the bed up with a pin on the bottom to slide into the fifth wheel and then lock her down somehow. Then, when you want the fifth wheel, unlock the bed and slide her off. Bed would be pretty high though unless you recessed the pin up as far as you could under it...
I have no idea if this might be a valid solution and/or help, but here goes.
Perhaps certain vibration patterns combined with the direction of rotation contribute to the loosening of those bolts. Might replacing them with proper nuts and bolts with LEFT HAND THREADS reduce the chances of them...
clinto, I think it was when I was making uo a new ground cable when I installed a master cut off switch in the Deuce I came across a package with a lug and this solder plug all in one. Works great. Can't seem to find the whole package shown anywhere but I only did a quick search.

Solder Slug...
Nice Mark,
I remember last years pics also and you have lots of nice wide open rolling fields to roam through to get to the Line. Is that all public land ? Or is it private and the owners allow travel across it to get to the various casements etc.?
