    Help/Problem with fuel delivery adjustment

Yes your right. The main reason for this adjustment is calibration. Lifting this stop block allows more fuel into the chamber. I learned this adjustment from boyce equipment a few years ago. It works pretty well.

    Help/Problem with fuel delivery adjustment

After pulling that cap off, Turn the lock nut counter clockwise to release it. Then take a 3/32 allen wrench and rotate the screw clockwise. Turning the screw is what changes the fuel rate. Not the nut. The nut only holds it in place. Turning the screw into the housing/ clockwise when facing...

It looks a lot like mine. I have the heavy tow bar. Boyce equipment has the adaptors on the shelf to mate it to your truck.

    High ambient temp/winch/grill cover

I never use my cover above 60 deg. But most of my trucks running is in the woods or running air tools. So the fan has to keep it cool. The T-stat has always done a pretty good job of keeping the temp at a safe level. But this far south it never gets cold enough to need it anyway.

Max Turbo Boost Pressure, Max Safe EGT?

Dwild, when you bypass the FDC your sopposed to bring the fuel rate down a bit. Bypassing it will let the IP have more fuel.

    Heating the WVO/biodiesel

Do you have a thermostat on the tank heater? Or do you just flip the switch when the fuel is warm enough? Do you think the SVO works better than the BIO? Do you know if there is more BTU's in SVO? Also Is there a milage difference between SVO and BIO? Thanks

Replaced Rear Pinion Seal - Handy Hint!

You might check the pinion bearings. Most of the time that i've had them leak is when the pinion bearings go and the flange wallers around. I've had to change 9 sets on the fire trucks so far. Just jack up a tire on the axel your working on to let any binding loose and try to move the flange up...

    Mirror arms

Arctic Grille Cover on, How to create a good looking Avatar?

A good location for a Pyrometer Thermocouple?

That's where i put mine. But you will have a better reading just before the turbo. You'll only be reading that cylinder. I've had mine there since 2001 and i've been meaning to relocate it, but there was always more important things to do to the truck. If you use grease on your drill bit and...

How come the engines are so dang loud?

2d, with regular oil changes and driven sensibly they can easilt make it past 100k. Since they are geared soo low people run them very close to the redline. Any engine ran at it's max rpm or just under won't run forever. When they were converted to diesel only they bypassed the Fuel Density...
