#3 on mone cut loose about 3 years ago. It sprayed fuel everywhere! I stopped in a parking lot and removed the broken part from the Ip head. Then i drove the furell off the tubing and put it back on the line. I made it home fine but i got a whole new set from TNJMURRY to be safe. They didn't...
I had the same problem. But chasing the wiring began to really test my sanity. Since all the wires are black. I bought a new wiring harness from saturn surplus. It cured every electrical problem i had! Everything just plugs in and installing it was a lot easier than you would think. It took a...
Looks like a boyce equipment frame streched special. They custom build these for FD's. I'd hate to turn it around in the woods! The front hubs look like the where swiped from a M211.
Wow, Looks like fun. My dad lives in patterson just down the road. I'd love to take some pics for the meseum here in texas next time i come for a visit?
I've put 44k on mine. I don't know how many hours though. I had to replace a broken tach. With regular oil changes and some TLC i don't see why a few hundred K would be a problem.
I use coffie filters in the tube for the fuel tank. I just pull the fuel cap off and pull the tube with the brass filter out and push some coffie filters aginst the screen. Then dump it in. I've tried 50/50 mix with no problems yet. It's warm enough here to run it with out heating it. It gets...
Have you changed the fuel filters lately? You might also pull the intank pump and clean the pick up screen. But like kenny said, make sure it's working.
12.5 shouldn't be a problem with a M35. D-RAT got 11.8 in a 109 comming back from kenny's with a traveltrailor in tow. Lock out hubs gave me 1.5 mpg better. The best i've ever done was comming back from palestine texas empty. At 13.8, i ran 40 to 45 mph. Anything above 50 and it drops below 10MPG.
It grounds through the bolts. I know you checked the switch, But i would try jumping around the switch and see. Are the wires brittle and loosing the insulation?
Thanks guys. I just installed a NOS harness and didn't want to splice it. I was thinking of running a wire from the rear tail lights to the front with the military Y connectors. Does anyone have the tool to make up wires with the military connectors? Or know where i could buy one?
There is 2 of them at the meseum i belong to .They work great! The welders are diesel that run off of the trucks fuel tank. The air compressors run off of the welder/gen. They have more tool storage that you could emagine and they still have a place for cargo in the middle. If you get one you'll...
