They are different numbers. From TM 9-6115-584-24P, for the MEP-002, the NSN is 2815-01-038-5296. The NSN for the MEP-003 from TM5-6115-585-24P is 6680-01-048-9596. Now they could be the same except for the stamping that indicates what they are for.
Knock on wood :roll: I haven't had a problem with mine yet. 2 years and a couple hundred miles. I do drain the tanks religiously and squirt a small amount of air tool oil in it annually.
Just a heads up. Not sure about the laws where you are but before diving in head first do you need a title to get it tagged. Just wouldn't want you to end up with a costly lawn ornament.
Here is my 2cents. Look at the condition of what you are worst at doing. In my case body chassis condition is very important. I am not a body man and do not have any of the tools for it. On the other hand a bad motor, transmission or rear is no big deal sense I have been working on the mechanics...
