15 minute one item a day preview?

The last three trips I made to Riley I was told I had 15 minutes to preview my item. Yesterday I was told I am only allowed to preview one item a day. 130 miles a day makes for an expensive preview if I have a dozen or so to look at. It is kind of frustrating. Half of the preview time is burned...

    Help needed

I do not see the link, but I remember that post. No quotes!

    Can't post

Okay, a lot of images are dead here though.

Woohoo... Won a M109A4 out of PA!

I saw those had not been run up yet and smoked home from my preview at Riley. Hard to smoke very fast in a M1008. There was a few under 4K and one at 3100 when I got home. It did not take long for them to exceed my budget! I should have gone a little farther, but I really would like to have...

    Oil Leaks

If it drips a few drops out of the slobber tube, no biggie. It it seeps around a few small gaskets or seals, no biggie. If it starts making a puddle when you park it, try to solve that. My 72 was incredibly dry, but if you got the wind and rpm just right, it would drip out of the slobber tube...

    Deuce Problem

I think he is talking about the routing of the cable under the floor, and over the transfer case shifter or around it, anyway, that is how I read it.

    New Deuce and some Questions...

Is it about 1.5" above the full mark? I put in 5.5 gallons of oil when I changed it and it always has read about that high when checked after a cold start. After a hot start, it will read higher, maybe 2.5 inches or so. I knew I started with 22 quarts and never added any, so it being a little...

    New Deuce and some Questions...

Best running deuce I was ever around. Not that I drove hundreds, but that one really ran good. It did nothing wrong, well, the low side of the transfer case being hard to shift into maybe. I think a lever adjustment would fix that and I think that Artic boot is what blocks it from shifting every...

    Harmony and my Deuce

Good looking deuce with a good looking driver's seat cover, a guy cannot beat a deal like that! Hello from Kansas!! Glen

    New Deuce and some Questions...

In hot weather a minute might be too long, it has 15 40 Rotella in it and if you had water in the oil, it would look like slimy coagulated chocolate milk. You would know that right away. That one does drain back quickly and always read over full. I have never had to add oil to that engine. I...

    New Deuce and some Questions...

Check to make sure the oil is not runny and smells like diesel. The FDC is bypassed on that one. Not sure how diesel would be getting in there. I will get you the filter numbers, but it would not hurt to change it. If a seal someplace let loose and diesel has started running into the crankcase...

New guy in Rapid City, SD

Look up Maccus and send him a PM. He very seldom posts anymore, but he is a gold mine for good clean information. He has an A3, a couple of A2s, a M818-109 hybrid and that last one will make you drool on yourself. What a sweet truck! He earned it the hard way, he built it. Glen

Sad Day, watched it drive away....

The old girl is at her new home, ran flawlessly for him, not a hiccup. The leak must have been the slobber tube as he said it is not leaking now. He sent me a photo of it backed up in the driveway at its new home. Looks like a beautiful place to call home.... He is a happy camper, truck ran...

Sad Day, watched it drive away....

I got a message about an hour ago, he was 50 miles from home. The old girl ought to be resting in her new neighborhood any minute now. Hopefully he gave the door latch a little lube and the leak was from the slobber tube and not the front seal. Oh well, I guess a few mechanical problems are to...

Sad Day, watched it drive away....

I directed the new owner of the C to this site. Not sure if he has a user ID yet, but he has been soaking up a lot of information. The other buyer I contacted through this site. He was looking for a deuce and sounded like he was about to get hosed. I told him he could have his choice of my two...

Sad Day, watched it drive away....

Thanks for the kind words Tony, you are stuck with me, I love the deuces. We have three that need attention at Riley to pick up yet. The instrument panel wiring was cut on all three. I know they probably have some issues, but I would like to get them running and sell them rather than see them go...

Sad Day, watched it drive away....

Called the buyer, he made it to Dodge City to bed down for the night. Truck is running great, he said the front engine seal is leaking and the driver's door will not latch. He thinks it is missing me. I offered a full refund and I would go get it, but that is not happening. He is over halfway...

Sad Day, watched it drive away....

Bud Boy was classic. He was out in the yard off leash. He started to chase it. I called him back, he looked over his shoulder, head tilted, ears locked forward, as if to say that's our truck.. I had to call him a second time, he does enjoy his deuce! He came inside and plopped down outside the...
