I know of a guy that installs the brake light in his panels so he has less of a chance of driving off with the park brake on. Not me, but it does sound like a good idea. Glen
Along that line I backed my 93W250 to the base of the windshield on my wife's Honda Fit. It was close to 3000 dollars.....would have bought a nice deuce! In case you are wondering, a Dodge pickup is a bully in reverse if there is a Honda handy...
I think you answered your own question. The 6.2 takes a decent muffler. If they are loud on your Jeep, the higher compression diesel without turbo with be worse.
New tires on steering axle, decent, but old spare, new tires on the rear axle and new tires on inside duals on the middle axle, old but good tires one the outside of the middle axle. Park brake - emergency brake cable freed up. Checked brake lines and they look good, top is off to be fixed...
Thank You, yes it is kind of cool to drive around, the whistler does make people look. I am a sweaty mess today, it is 97 degrees out there now and I have been changing tires, the old fashioned way, breaker bar and no air. Just have a couple more to go. I was pulling the M105 with it this...
SirBlissfull, Have you run across a scale yet? The dash data plate says 27,000 or something along that line and the box data plate says 19,000 or something close. Those trucks actually weigh 46,000 pounds? No wonder their fuel burning reputation is alive and well! Glen
A local tire shop owner used ether on lots of tires over several years. I was always pretty cautious when around him, preferring not to be in the tire room. One day it happened, the shrapnel severely broke both of his arms and he has some steel bones now in one of the to keep his wrist from...
Fuel filters done, primary had a lot of rusty looking crap in it and the fuel in the can looked like it was rusty water. Secondaries look good. Return fuel leak fixed with new line. Working on park brake cable....soaking.... Two new batteries, the old ones had a combined CCA of 227. They were...
I think we have any bolster parts you might need. They went high today, wow!
I feel pretty good about this truck, it runs and drives really nice, good and smooth, it feels nice and tight still. I know the locals were drooling over it. Glad to have it, now to find some nice 11.00s to single it...
They are both LDTs. It does have a little rattle in the engine like injector clicking, I will get a few miles and fresh fuel on it this next couple of weeks. I also will replace the filters, the fuel looks really nice and clear. I know it has been idle for some time, I also know that the old...
Some more off of the camera..... the guy in the pickup had a cool looking dog riding along, the dog was about out of range when I finally got the camera turned on.
The old stone house is south of I70 at Junction City and a little west on old US40 from US77. I always wondered about the history...
I forgot to mention that! On the Truck Production Order is says ASAF right across the top of the page. DS Cargo, Soft Top, X14 Forest Green, Wet Batteries, W/O Winch.
I also like the way my old truck's brake and clutch pedals are adjusted not to return so high, this one has a stroke and a half...
I won a M35A2C from Ft Riley a couple of weeks ago. My friend, Karl Kostman, from the big city of Fargo ND was actually going to drive his Corvette to Salina and go with me on the recovery. What a guy! He offered to drive 601 miles one way, just to tag along.
I did not preview the truck prior...
