M1075 is giving you some good advice and knows these trucks well. If you are mechanically inclined and can follow a book for.repairs, you can fix anything you are likely to run into. You can figure about 48 mph and ten mpg. There are lots of recovery threads here. If you 500 miles includes...
We have a beautifulb girlb too. Sadly her life's trail is getting short. Ten years ago she was a crazy pup that had to run at least 30 minutes a day or she would drive you crazy. Now a trip out to pee and she is ready to come back in. Very sweet girl.... got a sad day coming. Thanks for sharing...
Interesting, Mine had been assigned to Tinker at one time. The data plate is missing that has the VIN. The numbers were roughly ground off of the rear bumper and painted over. My spare tire pawl has safety wire wrapped around it too!
You will probably find the rest of your bow.assemblies.below the.box, in the first section, resting in a harizontal rack, tied down with straps. I am talking about the middle section of the bows. Glen
You are very lucky to get that truck. When Karl sent me those photos, I called him and told.him we HAD to buy that truck and trailer as soon as possible. That was a deal! I would have gladly made the trip up from Kansas and drove that one home. Welcome to the deuce club! Glen
His threads and responses are still a treasure, I never got to meet the man, but I sure enjoyed his company. Maybe one day we can lean on a fender and share our memories. He is welcome to ride along in my cab anytime, we never know for sure what awaits us on the other side. Thanks Lifer for...
You are in a good area.to pick one up. Texas seems to dump a lot of them onto the market. I am afraid the party is about over though, especially for the M35A2 trucks.
I need to take more of those sunset drives, that was a good and relaxing time. I used to do them all the time on a motorcycle. The deer would not be much of a threat to me in the deuce......
Not much to an axle seal.. We did mine one afternoon, toughest part was the lug nuts to get the wheels off.. If I did many, there would be a dually dolly or a pallet jack in my future. Come on out, if you need help on this end, let me know. I have three at Riley now. I did 800 miles in two days...
At 101 degrees, it whooped a lot of energy out of the dogs on the way out, me too! I was sipping on a gallon of water and they tried to drink the lake dry.
Sir rode back in the bed, Buddy stretched out in the cab.
I am not sure about those two, but I saw lots of deer. The fawns are brightly...
We spent about 90 minutes in and out of the water. My old friend was camping out there, so we stopped to harass him a little and thank him again for helping with the new deuce last week. The boys had a blast!
The boys and I have been cooped up for a while with the hot weather, work schedules, running family members back and forth to Missouri and the recoveries lately. When I got off work today, they had that wander lust look, so we loaded up and drove the 30 miles or so to the lake. They roamed...
That has to be a sick feeling. I have one that stays 45 to 50 pounds and the other indicates 25 to 30 all the time, 15 on a hot idle....sweating over that a little, think a mechanical gauge is coming to a shop near me..... Glen
We have three deuces at Riley, we may have a headache rack available if one of the deuces has a major malfunction. Playing the waiting game now. I picked up my M35A2C there this week though and it does have the dual brake system. Glen
