Won an M109 today (Pick up underway 10 OCT)

Well I pulled the trigger on one as well. Those are 2 beauties for sure guys. With the prices on the M109A3's right now, they're hard to pass up. I finaly found what I'd been looking for in one too. 1965 with Box and cab heaters, Air O Matic, air shift. $1400 before GL's cut. 11,000 miles. It's...

    LDS-465-1A Powered M35A2's

My deuce that arrived a few weeks ago has a very newly rebuilt LDS-465-1A in it. 2 questions: 1. Why would the army install the LDS? Running out of LDT's or for more power. 2. Are there others out there in the SS motor pool? Or have you at least seen them? Thanks in advance.

    lollipop turn signal lights

No problem. These shots were on a 800 mile round trip to Barstow to recover the M128A2C trailer. The photo showing the gauges shows speedo at about 53 mph which is 60 with 11x20's on the truck. I was turning about 2300 rpm at that point. On the way back, I ran at about 1100 degrees climbing...

    lollipop turn signal lights

Those are the NATO Lighting Kit. They also include a side marker as can be seen on my M275A2. They are required for vehicles driven in Germany, and possibly more countries as well. I added the kit to my truck. The markers are connected to the rear taillights. The lolipops are rear facing turn...

    Desert Deuce Motor Pool

Here's part of the DD Motor Pool. Just moved them to our new building. There's room inside for the trucks. The wrecker and other equipment are already inside. The truck second from the right is an M52A2 w/w with a dump bed. It's going to be returned to a tractor when time allows. All the tractor...

    Trailer Causing Curcuit Breaker Problems

Bjorn's solutions and engineering regarding this issue are spot on. I've had this problem as well with my Lube trailer. There are lots of lights on a lube trailer.

    XM757 progress

Bjorn, Very nice, having all accessories opperating is very cool. Did your XM757 have this or are you adding it. And, are you installing per TM or doing some engineering yourself. That machine is a beauty.

    New M818 w/w

Ah yes Andy, the green one, very nice! I think it was the first to close. And yes, the core was in cab, I'll be interested to get the scoop on that. 500 miles should be a nice drive. That's about how far I usually get in 1 (long) day. At 1700 and some change, I'll be shooting for a 3 to 4 day...
