Won 2 more Deuces in Barstow today. They were sort of a matching set... :) They look like they have Air-O-Matics (Hose from device on firewall). Some of these Guard trucks still have great MERDC paint.
Hey gang,
Thanks for the replies and nice words about the website. I'm enjoying the business and get to work with some great people from all around the globe.
I'm working on a discount strategy for SS Members. Hopefully we"ll be able to roll it out in the next 2 months. We're moving into a...
Won a nice little Deuce from Barstow yesterday. Odo says 216, hrs says 96. $1290, Engine looks fresh. Has a box seat, airshift and looks to be straight. I'll keep it in the same colors, just freshen them up. I figure if the enigine is new, the rest of the truck should be up to snuff as well.
Here's my M275A2. I'm in the process of prepping it for an 800 mile round trip next week to Barstow to pick up my 2nd M128A2C. I'm adding a pyrometer and boost gqage. We've made some mods to the IP so watching the EGT's is essential. Last pictures are the new trailer.
Hope this is not true, or can be changed. 300 or so AZNG trucks will not be headed for the DRMO, FMS or ultimately GL. I was told it was to much trouble, and easier thing to do was to send them to the range here in AZ. :( . If anyone has additional information, or if I've heard wrong...
Complete Convoy Light Kits are going to be getting very scarce in the very near future. I have it on good word that after the few left at TNJ are gone the only supplier that currently has any left (and he knows the supply is almost depleted) will be jacking the price up to $500+. Call Jonh and...
Thanks for the great replies,
Ryan, these lift right off the trailer. I seem to remember some pictures on here of one of these in Vietman on the back of a deuce or pipe truck. Would be easier to transfer one.
Bjorn, Thanks for the info, funny thing, the tanks are all new inside and have not...
Hey Guys, I just pulled the ENG-3 out today to it give a wash. It came in from Goose Creek about a month ago. Haven't started it yet, it had been in dry storage since being almost completly rebuilt in Luxembourg. It came with all of it's records in a very nice woodland camo record book. It's...
David,
Thanks very much for your effort here. I got the retraction email today as well (I hadn't gotten the original letter yet), Oops! I just got my ENG-3 home from Goose Creek this week.
Thank you!
That looks outstanding. Very cool!
I'd Like to find a Cago Cover for my M1028A1 as well. I have the rest of the harware. Including troop seats.
Anyone with a line on an NOS cover, please PM me as well.
Tony,
Thanks much for the pointers. Have you had a bad expirience with a fan? I'll make sure to check those. I would not have checked those bolts, belts yes.
Won an XM813 w/w today at Barstow. Hoping to drive it home in about 3 weeks. Groundog says it has no batteries. I hope it has fluids & brakes. From the way it looks, it looks like a runner.
From what I understand, those M109's are recent European returns, the unit they belonged to was just deployed to Korea and got new trucks.
Nice win!
By the way, was one of those M1028's at Ft Huachuca?
