Actually you have a few things incorrect with the markings. Hood stars are 20"s and door stars are 14"s, sometimes the 20"s also got stuck on the doors during a motorpool repaint if that was all they had. It was not very common, but will show up sometimes in pics. Hood #'s where 3"s, front...

Actually it is a 69' as indicated by the vehicles registration number of 04M 081(69). The contract date may be 68' but the truck was accepted by the military in 69'.

Best set up I've ever seen was from Pierre Jalving, and it was a simple clamp that attached to the handle of the gas can. Then a stock mirror arm was mounted to it. Nice and easy no drilling needed. If I was smart I would have taken a pic of it.:roll:
