Nope, that's just a standard civilian gladiator. Nothing military about it. It would be far easier to find a M715 than to cut up a civi gladiator and convert it to a M715.

Drive it over here to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. 3.5 hour highway trip to test the reliability and then a chance to play on the dunes with the truck for a while then make the run back. Should be a good test.

It is very hard to track down that info, as the Army did not keep those records. The best way is to lightly sand down the paint on the bumper or rear bumperettes and hope that you can find them. Work slowly and you should see the difference in the colors which is usually the markings. When...

Gillespie red oxide primer is usually a much darker red/maroon color than standard auto red oxide. I've painted 3 trucks with Gillespie primer over the last 6 years and it has always been the darker color.
