Slather the anti-seize compound on thick when you install your new hardware. It'll make it a lot easier the next time around.

I drove my M1009 down to the firehouse in Port Orchard this weekend and upgraded my amateur radio license from Tech, to General, and then to Extra.

I have two of those; one mounted on the dashboard radio bracket and one mounted to the aft side of the center console. Still nothing where the fire bottle is supposed to be, other than a clamp for the giant wire bundle going into the center console.

My new dash pad is still in the box in the garage. Can't decide if I should install it as-is, which is black, or paint it to match the mil interior.

That happened on Bangor Trident base in Silverdale. The cop shack is up that road.

As mentioned, those are part of the wiper circuit that the previous owner disconnected because they slow the wipers. You don't need them. People are pulling out in front of you because they dread getting stuck behind you. It's something you'll need to get used to driving a mil truck. ;-)

I can see better out the front, so to me that's better. 4Low is chock-full of torque as it is. If the truck doesn't have enough torque in 4Low going forward to do the job, you need a bigger tow vehicle.
