After reading through all this I went out and cleaned all the wiper related connections under the hood and got my wipers to park themselves again. I was getting tired of manually parking them.
EDIT to add: And just like that this morning they don't park themselves again. :???:
I added a relay to the accessory circuit. Using that I wired in indoor/outdoor temp sensor to the map-light bracket I put in a few weeks ago. Works with the key in RUN or ACC.
Actually I think the easiest way is to perform the troubleshooting steps in the TM. You can reach the tank wires through the wheel well on the driver's side. Mine was doing what the OP describes and after the troubleshooting from the TM I replaced the gauge and it works great to this day.
I'm of the 'ain't broke don't fix it' opinion. Just install some regular Sylvania sealed beams. They're available anywhere if one gets broken or fails, aren't expensive, and they work. You can get a little more light output by installing a relay that runs power straight off the battery. HIDs...
Drove around in the Olympics today.
Stopped on the way home to pick up a craigslist score. New in the box NOS repro dash pad from Classic Car Parts. Guy had it in his attic and put it on CL for $150 so I snapped it up. Now I have to decide whether to leave it black or paint it to match the...
Thank you!
It's an old cop car console; it's supposed to go up against the dashboard in a crown vic - under the heater controls. So jotto, havis, or some other supplier. I have to reach over it to yank on the 4WD lever, but it's not like I need to do that often. The faceplates for the radios...
Thanks! There is a storage box, albeit a small one, that is part of the rear of the console. It has an arm rest for my elbow. There's also a set of cup holders on the very aft end for the back seat passengers.
I added a NOS aircraft light to my clipboard to cast some light on the paper.
It's cobbled together with a Staples cheapo clipboard, a RAM mount to the dash bracket, and now the aircraft light.
It's wired through the wiper circuit so it comes on with the key. Right now the wiper circuit is...
Does anyone know which pub discusses the installation of the antenna brush guard?
I finally found one that was priced like it was made out of aluminum instead of gold, and I've checked all the pubs I downloaded off this site, but don't see any install instructions. I found the antenna...
He was also in a right turn only lane. The traffic is bad due to the parallel road being closed for construction. The cars behind me were backed up quite a ways; that guy just figured he was too important to wait like everyone else, so he thought he's try something cute. 200 watts of Federal...
Bought new blackout lights for my 1009- I had two out altogether and the other two were barely visible through the lens haze and paint over-spray.
Two tiny little nuts....should take one wrench and maybe 15 minutes.....
Well, in reality it took almost every tool I own and over an hour to...
Same here. I spent considerable time and effort keeping it nose-down. What I think is happening is that there is a very minor seep. Parked nose down fuel seeps out - parked nose up air seeps in.
