Howdy,
Since you are thinking about it. I would suggest you go and inspect the units before you bid on them. You can look at everything. Pictures are good, but physically inspecting is always better.
Howdy,
Military MEP-8xx TQG generators were overbuilt. (Plus, they are diesel) When they say 5kw, they mean 5kw 24/7 all day long without issue. When they say 10kw, the same thing applies, all day long. The only difference between the MEP-802A and MEP-803A is 2 cylinders. The engine is the exact...
Howdy,
The bulkhead below the radiator is the same piece between 802 and 803. So you see where the 802 well nut goes with the hose. The fuel drain uses a well nut, but comes directly out the side. About 8 inches over from the oil drain.
Howdy,
Some sites add stuff to get them up and running. Your sets looks like they went and got 4 batteries. One picture has the new positive battery cap sitting there.
Howdy,
You have to take that with a grain of salt.
The actual float can be positioned higher or lower. The best practice would to sit there and start the unit with a full tank. Start siphoning it out and watch when the aux fuel pump kicks on. Look at your gauge, Watch when the aux fuel pump...

Howdy,

Howdy,
Yes, the 2 locations.
I found that after having most of the coolant in, It was helpful to use the dead crank some. Hit the dead crank for a moment, fill some more, hit the dead crank some more, and fill. It seems that some does not want to go back behind the thermostat. This way the pump...
Howdy,
It sounds like the mechanic before you got into the fuel tank and moved your fuel sensor. That could be as simple as opening the front panel, loosen the locking hold down ring and lowering the fuel level sensor.
Auxiliary fuel all relies on the fuel level sensor for turn on aux pump and...
Howdy,
The unit might have had some wet-stacking when I picked it up. It is all cleaned off inside and outside. The unit starts and works great with any load up to 133%
