I know this is an old thread...
Found this by mistake! I had plans to do this but didn't know it needed to have work done on the inside. Thank you.
I wanted to keep the OEM whip and tune it for dual band HAM use. Seems I would do basically the same thing as you are showing here, but cut the...
I thought so to, but there isn't. It is a Normaly Open solenoid and not getting power. It is clear. The way to test this is to disconnect it, then in theory it should never heat, only do low pressure. Even with the power disconnected, it is building pressure. I confirmed it was clear by removing...
Here is the broken solenoid next to the new one. Fittings moved over.
New fuel filter setup. You can see some of the new fuel lines as well.
Not easy to get in there for picture, but here is the new spot I put the solenoids in, on the inside where the fuel selection valve is. That way they...
I wish I had time to be bored.
It can be fixed I'm sure, but I'm just not sure I want to put anymore time & money into it. I will make a last post with my issues & hope down the road someone will have a solution before it gets taken apart or sold as-is.
Yes, I sold it on eBay.
It has me completely stumped as to why it is not working. Everything is exactly as it should be. Makes it even worse that it all snowballed from the nipple breaking trying ti just tighten up a leak...
Well, this project may officially be abandoned and be one of the biggest let downs I have had!
Got the new solenoid in. Installed. Same issue. Spend a few hours troubleshooting and trying things. Everything is 100% as it should be plumbing and electrical wise, but in vent, there is to much...
Got to spend some more time with this.

The fuel filer I ended up installing...
Turns out it wasn't the pump that was leaking, rather the fitting at the bottom. The hard fuel line had a new fitting put on the end. Seems like the wrong one was put on... wrong angle 4AN. So, I still replaced the pump as that one has a lot of hours on it more or less, and will keep it as a...
ATF. They are a lubricant and a detergent. They also will burn when injected into the combustion chamber. Also, it will clean a bit going through the injector as well. I have purposly primed systems with ATF & let them sit for a few days, then did this a few times with great results.
So, I took some time to come back to this unit.
Checked the injection pumps, and they were not tightened down at the same position. Moved them so they were the same amount of notched on the hold down forks (two) from the rubber fuel line hitting. The seems like it made the machine a little less...
I don't remember exactly, but I had to adjust mine slightly off the start position. I know I documented it in either my adjustment videos and/or my thread. I think it was causing a surging issue at no load and once I turned things down, it was good. So many projects since then has made me not...
