I use that same winch for loading logs onto my deuce (with ramps) and other general purposes. It is on a receiver hitch mount so it can be attached on the back, in the bed, or where ever desired.
I also didn't have a remote, and got a Milemarker wireless remote 7505 off ebay. It will work...
This mount was made of two pieces of maple. The groove for the hose clamp was cut with a hole saw before the pieces were glued together. The bores and outer surfaces were then machined, and it was then sanded, sealed and painted.

My deuce was an ebay purchase from a guy in New Hampshire. He had a NH title, which I used to get a PA title.
I use it to haul logs and boards, and am writing it off as a business expense. It is titled for 23,000 lb, for $405 annually. I'd like to have gone 26,000, but the titling and...
Hi:
My deuce doesn't have a winch, but I have the regular forward-facing PTO ready to put on it. Has anyone ever put a hydraulic pump on this PTO? Is there something that bolts right up, or would I need to rig up a shaft with U-joints?
Thanks,
Mike
My passenger side window comes down by itself, from the engine vibration. It cranks very easy both directions.
I did remove the window regulator and tried to tighten up the spring by 1/2 turn, but the spring would then wind up tight before the regulator could be cranked to the fully open...
My trailer has 2 axles, both with brakes. The battery between the brake controller and the 12v converter would probably be a good idea - wouldn't have to be very big, and would give a measure of safety in case the converter fails.
I put a 12v, 15a converter on the firewall. Then I have 4 relays wired into the truck's left turn, right turn, tail, and brake light. The relays switch the 12v power to the appropriate leads in the trailer harness. Got a 4 conductor harness at NAPA, which goes from the relays in the cab to a...
Hi:
I picked up a used D turbo as a spare. Overall it seems to be in very good condition - it spins very smoothly and there is no evidence of the blades scraping the housing.
My concern is the amount of radial (side to side) play of the shaft. I measure about .015" total play on the exhaust...
I have a sawmill and plenty of oak, and planned to try making my own cargo bows. Can someone tell me how much bow to put in them?
I already have the sides and corner pieces. It is a dropside.
Thanks,
Mike
Look at ebay item 140105777645.
This is the model I got - although it was from a different seller. The option description is wrong. According to the box it came in, the converter is rated 15 amp continuous and 18 amp intermittent.
How many amps will your lights need?
Mike
This is just an update on how I made out with this deuce I got off of eBay.
I found a guy who hauls farm equipment and was looking to bring a load this way because he had two tractors to take back, so I got the deuce delivered from NH to PA for $700.
The seller traded his SF-97 for a NH title...
That would work fine except that the bulb socket is grounded in the Walmart lights. You would have to insulate one of the lights to hook two in series, or find lights that don't have a built-in ground.
This light is from Walmart. It was chrome plated - hope the paint sticks. The rest of the bracket is homemade. I got a GE 1251 bulb from the local NAPA store and it fit right in.

Actually, it took several tries. The deuce didn't come to a sudden, jerking stop, but it was more of a long, smooth pull that gradually got harder until the chain would slip off. I had two wraps of chain on the stump so it would self-tighten, but the stump was bending over so much it would...
I'm thinking of a spray-on bedliner for my Deuce, for the bed itself and possibly the cab floor.
Rattleguard has my interest because:
1. You can do it yourself.
2. The price is reasonable.
3. It is available in olive green, and they will do custom colors.
Has anyone here had any experience...
Class 4 receiver hitch
This one is a Curt 14082 for 1973 - 79 Ford F250 Crew Cab. I got it from JC Whitney (their number 284470). The JCW website gives the same part number for mid-80s Chevy cab and chassis. The price was $158.99, and shipping was free.
The hitch is rated 10,000 lb with...
This morning, the seller faxed me the SF97 and the Dealer Reassignment from Government Liquidation to him.
I then called a local authorized title transfer agency, then Memphis Equipment in Chambersburg PA, then my state representative's office. They all said the same thing: The documents...
