Welcome M1Kodiak,
I don't know who has the ones along Chena River, but take a drive down Farmers Loop, there's a couple parked past the golf course on the left (near the University).
There's been a few deuces driving around town too, I know one is owned by one of the counter guys at Napa off...
Have you read through this thread: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/trailers/34000-lunette-lock.html
There's a couple good locks in there, I utilize the one I mentioned and have had a few people try to get past it without luck.
On mine, I added a 6" flex line where the previous junction block was (right over the pivot point). I've not had any problems with the brake system or dumping since this modification.
Another poster suggested tractor link ends for the pivot point and I've got a set of Class 1 on order for...

For others, most states will permit you to travel the highways without title / tags if you recently purchased the vehicle. You must be enroute to your home, and not utilize it elsewhere until the proper documents have been obtained.
Guess I should add to this list myself. KC8MVW, VE team liaison for ARRL & AARC here in the interior of Alaska.
Still waiting for the right Deuce to come along, but have Mil trailers...

For vehicle shipping, I'd talk to Carlile http://www.carlile.biz; they are the most common commercial vehicle shipper up here. Then you get into barging quotes with the different companies if you don't want it on the road all the way.
I will guarantee you this; it will be cheaper to drive it...
Your original thread on the parts is for the A1. You have the A3 and it is a different bearing assembly. I've done this replacement on my A2 with A3 axle. I utilized NAPA 22532 seals.
One good thread for parts is this one...
I've not had any problems as of yet with the tabs bending or showing any signs of distress with this modification. I've had 3 people (avg weight of 185lbs) sitting on the tailgate without any problems for about an hour or so. Over time, it may distress, but have not seen anything as of yet...
Yep, had it happen to me when I clicked the number of auctions to be shown. If I clicked it a second time, it went back to normal.
Didn't bother to contact them about it, but was able to see the final prices on a few things I was wondering about.
Just as a heads up, check with the axle supplier on the spring spacing requirements for warranty purposes! I had the 4" drop, but the stock springs voided the warranty.

That lug pattern is correct for M101A2 / A3 and M116A2 / A3 trailers or just about any other 8 lug trailer axle. Center hole sounds correct as well since it is a GMC wheel for the Military trailers. I don't know about the back spacing requirements, sorry.
Don't know about the powder coating...
I've done that swap on a M105. Gave myself a lower trailer with electric brakes and 8 lug wheels; had the same wheels as my DD, so I always had a spare (or two). There are a few threads in the trailer section about the swap.
I went with a 4" drop, Dexter 6k axle. Spacing was per information...
Just so everyone knows, the current cost of on road diesel in Fairbanks, AK is $4.43 per gallon at one of the local stations, have seen it as low as $4.17. Things are slowly rising.
Good luck to all that drive up here, hope to meet a few of you when you arrive.
That looks similar to my M105 trailer bed. I would suspect a M105 variant. Most likely an A1 or A2.
Things that throw me towards M105: Side stake pockets for rear / front side attachment, tie down hoops on front & rear, tailgate chain with clip & not a pin as on M101's and side gussets on...
If anyone needs different pictures, let me know and I'll try to get them posted within 24 hours. The ones I put up earlier were grabbed as I headed out the door and I realize they may be slightly confusing.
Having it lay flat has worked well for me. I had to play with the chain a little to...
This is the first that I've heard of a shortage, so thanks for the heads up. I haven't filled my 120+ cf tank since I bought it 3 years ago! I have setups for propane & acetylene, typically use the propane for cutting and switch to acetylene for brazing.
Same regulators, hoses; just a...
To get my tailgate to stay flat out when camping or loading, I utilized a couple short pieces of heavy dog / swing chain (approx 12" of 3/16" chain, total), 2 chain quick links and 2 locking spring snaps (similar to key chain type, but heavier duty and made for dog runs).
I used the quick...
I thank you for your service. It has been quite fun living up here as a civilian; it is a beautiful area and I'm enjoying my stay.
From what I hear from those that have been here in the past that things keep growing (where don't they, eh?) and many of the old hangouts have disappeared.
Thanks...
