I would pull the sensor out of the bell housing and check to see if a piece if metal is stuck to it. It is a magnet and the metal would cause it to stop reading the teeth on the flywheel.
It is black smoke which means that it fuel related. If it was oil being burnt it would be blue smoke.
You said you had the FDC bypassed. Did you have the IP turned down afterwards? I think it is just dumping to much fuel into the engine.
I do like black smoke though!:grd:
Since we are one the tag subject, there is a truck that was overhauled in 09, at the Red River Army Depot I believe. It is a 900 series5 ton. What all do they do to these trucks?
It is pretty amazing the amount of money that the government looses on these vehicles. I noticed this the first time I got on GB. The older trucks they get there money out of but some of them the ones that they refurb they looses there butts on.
Hey at least they aren't giving them away to some...
Hey guy I just sold my deuce and am thinking about purchasing a M931. I haven't been keeping up with what they have been bringing lately on GL and was wonder what the prices have been ranging. I have noticed some of the trucks are 80's and some have been rebuilt as late as 09.
Just trying to...
That is exactly what I am going to build as soon as I sell my bobbed deuce. I think I am gong to take the spare tire carrier off though to have a little more bed.
