I decided to start a new thread on my axle question.
so, when I had my brother watch for the wheels, we got her stuck on a boulder and was in first low range, or maybe it was second, not sure.
so we got stuck and the rears were both spinning freely for traction, the fronts were rocking back...
every time I drain my tanks, the inner tank is full of water, the outer seems to have a bit of mist now and then, but the inner one always blasts out a spray. Is that a sign something is wrong? Where's that inlet that was mentioned that I can put some water dryer into? thanks <img...
where can I buy some of these? Looks like we'll need to cut our own and affix them to our flaps, can't find them anywhere. We'll paint them OD instead of chrome
at the risk of sounding like the newbie that I am, do you all shift without the clutch? I was talking with my dad and he said I didn't need to clutch the shifts, and he took me out, and amidst some grinding here and there (he explained the subtle difference between "grinding" and "chattering"...
I got a friend that is in the market for a military humvee. Either a solid affordable one, or a hulk that can be rebuilt. Cost is an issue, so it doesn't need to be one of these restored good condition ones, just the genuine article. I told him he might look for a civi hummer and paint it and...
so what are the options on converting the sprag to either airshift or part time? Is it possible to modify the sprag case to be part time by installing an extra lever to engage just the front?
Does the airshift use a whole different style case, or is it able to be sourced in pieces and...
hey all, interested in buying a heater unit with the fan and heater core, what exactly would I need besides that to make it functional? Doesn't have to be pretty, doesn't have to be NOS parts or correct per restoration standards, I just want a heater that will distribute some hot air to the...
saw this searching around. It's interesting- but loses half the ability of the deuce. Why not just put bigger tires and axles on an M37 if you want something this short? (down at the bottom)

we call our place Fort Burns, after the street name. We're nestled right into a pretty raw neighborhood, lots of hostility, apathy and no other citizens, just denizens ...
is there a replacement for these that will just hook right in? I can't stand that thing, and now it also seems to be going bad. It goes on with the switch on, but the truck starts and then it gets all patchy and intermittent, or goes off completely even if the air is low. Or maybe a light in...
I can't figure these things out, I turn the screw on the dash and it sends air to them. But, I press the red buttons and they just stay depressed, and the wipers don't move. If I manually push the wipers over to the left side, air will push them back to the right side but they stay there. Is...
my military 3 lever light switch is beyond terminal. It burned out and everything went with it, and I couldn't turn it on or off and ended up stripping the lever off. The reason I couldn't budge it was the contacts had melted, and the little plate deal that is held there by a spring just...
well, my military 3 lever light switch (I'm testing to see how long it takes for google to return that as a result, anyhow...) is beyond terminal. The reason I couldn't budge it was the contacts had melted, and the little plate deal that is held there by a spring just pushed into the plastic...
well, she made it back. What a trip! Now, I had no experience driving heavy trucks and a lot of what I thought was the way it was but it's definitely different in a lot of ways. Learned a couple things, first is that the shift pattern sucks! Learned a bunch of other stuff but forgot it...
I have to decide between lugging a 3-ton floor jack or a Hi-Lift up there (or does the deuce come with its own jack?)
does a 48" Hi-Lift fit under the axles and still clear the underbody? Looks like it probably would.
just curious what all the options for getting new tires will be. The local Les Schwab does heavy truck tires, but I haven't really looked into it further. Mail ordering is something I want to avoid with the shipping cost.
Are NDT's the only tires you'd consider or will normal heavy truck...
you are the #1 result when I searched for M35A2 on Google. Quite an honor. Running two sites I know how hard it is to get listed even
