my gen 1 light is no longer coming on when i turn the key. should i be worried? also voltage guage is showing yellow not green. I'm pretty sure my ground wire is bad. Also my heater is intermittent and finicky i have to stick my fingers behind the switch and wiggle things to get it to blow...

what is this DUVAC you speak of and how do i make sure i never see it hear it or have anything to do with it.

don't bother taking it to him just look at the back of your driver side alt there should be a black wire attached to the alternator and a bolt on the head.

check your driver side alt. for a black wire that should be grounded to a bolt near the intake manifold bolts. that IS bad on my truck and it doesn't charge efficiently. just my 2cents something to check... and a REALLY cheap fix

i can get the 10 bolt axles from a guy in MA for 150 each and he has... lets say a few.

i may be picking up a bunch of them this weekend from a guy in NJ... i will keep you informed. I also found out that i apparently have a set. guy who sold me my truck found them and considers them mine... nice guy. so i'll let you know if i grab anything

ok so mission complete. Took the whole day and we stopped at cabellas on the way back. Got Alternator, dashboard, vent window latch, master cylinder, hydrobooster. All for like 180$ plus the wiring harness for my heater switch for free... I didn't get to take pics. it was freezing snowing...
