Getting back to the original question. I usually have more problems getting the outers off without loosening the inner stud. A very good point was made to make sure all of your lugs and studs are broken loose so you know they will come off is you have a road failure. The last duals I pulled...
RE: Re: How to use 12VDC headlights on your 24VDC system .
If one burns out the path is broken. Yes the other will go out but it won't burn out. Cool idea to use the second ground wire to back feed. All you need is the leads off a couple burned out bulbs to use for the wiring harness.
RE: Re: RE: DT 466 International motor ?
Depending on how much money you are looking to invest I've seen school busses with B series in them for under $4K. Might have to drive it back a ways but they were under 100K vehicles with allisons.
Horton is a major fan clutch player. They make both air and electric actuated. They list one of their clutches for the 900 series trucks with a C series engine. A multifuel would take a bit of searching to find something close enough to work.
That empty engine bay just screams for the 454 sitting under my work bench. An M36 just went in ND. Looked to have a missing trans. Went way too high plus don't want a long wheel base truck.
RE: Re: Series or Parallel, To Be or Not To Be
Hot Chick of the day a month or so ago. Funny when I saw that pic I looked right past her...for a moment.
Re: Series or Parallel, To Be or Not To Be
So it will work if you were willing to give up either high or low beams. If you were stranded with two blown headlights and no 24v replacements available it would get you home.
I'm toying with the idea of building a Weasel or something close to it. Does anyone know of a weasel in Minnesota I can look at? My biggest hurdle will be the track and road/bogy wheels. I'm thinking of using snowmobile tracks.
My other question is is the hull steel or aluminum?
RE: Snad blasting
The old Whos whosler had the biggest snad blaster of them all but it was taken by the Grinch and given to the Lorax to refinsh his pots and pans to make more green eggs and ham!!!!
Unless you want to invest in new keep a look out for old trucks already with a dump. I could have had a running C60 for $300.00. It had a 10' dump. Would have been easy to strip off what you needed and sell or scrap the rest. Only reason I didn't get it was with winter on it's way I didn't...
RE: Re: RE: m125
I was searching past goverment auctions in MN this year. I can't find it again but there were M125's, two or three, listed on a GSA auction in northern MN this May or June. I want to say it was a Heartland GSA auction, not internet but live auction. Wonder where they went?
Re: RE: Rear Mount PTO
Close...check and see what the HP required is for the mower. You may be better off mounting a small engine to it and dedicating it. You'll still need hyd to fold and not sure how you will tow it. If it's a single pin great. If it's 3 point back to the drawing board...
Look up the Nexen Group and the BC425S caliper. It is a spring engaged / air released caliper. It's rated for a 24" disc but will fit a 16" disc. Depending on the diameter of the drive shaft flange you could go down a bit more. You start running into interference issues. It's setup for a...
RE: Re: RE: Starting below 0 degrees?
Start with getting your batteries checked and replaced. Definately plug your truck in at night. It's normally colder at night and sits longest unstarted. If you can get out over lunch fire it up and let it run for a while.
