    Bolster trailer recovery

RE: Re: RE: Bolster trailer recovery My Dad would always tell his story of a panic stop in Germany with a deuce w/w. Comrade stopped short in a VW bug and by the time he stopped he couldn't see the top of the bug. Didn't hit but must have been damn close.

5 ton cargo from MN to WI

How far into Sconnie? If it's the last one from Ripley the local towing co in Little Falls would be a good place to start.

Military Vehicle Museum Location? Temp home for a Half Track

RE: Museum I'm at Ft Hunter Liggett right now. They are looking for a WWII era vehicle to put in front of their school house. If the track is in that good of shape it's probably not the right fit but I'd figured I'd throw it out anyway.

    Wheels for 12.00R20 XML's

Not road legal but ag wheels could be found with the 8 bolt pattern. Getting them in a 20" wheel wouldn't be too special.

    Dextron in transmission

Hold on there kids there is a difference. I used to work for an industrial clutch and brake mfg. We had one series of wet clutches. When Dextron III came out we had an increase of failures. Once we researched the specs we found Dex III has a lower hot coefficient of friction. Meaning it...

    Re-Powering The Deuce With A 5-Ton LDS-465-1A Engine

Since you reduced the size of the heater you might want to add another under the dash. I found this at Northern. http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_21785_21785

    Re-Powering The Deuce With A 5-Ton LDS-465-1A Engine

Makes me sick to think my company had a 3126 cat they gave a way for $3500.00 It was an industrial engine on a skid. Less than 100 hrs on it. It was either a mechanical fuel injection or self contained. Like them of not it would have been an easy install.

Anyone moved a truck by rail?

If the 813 could make the trip have the 818 buyer drive it to you then drive the 818 home. I'm assuming it's in Chambersburg.

    M52 vs M818 16x20 tire question

So I'm looking for 5 ton. I want a short wheel base to put a flat bed on. I'd rather have an 800 series to get the Cummins. I found an M52 tractor without the 5th wheel. Only one tire is weather checked. Generally in good shape. Must have been taken care of in the military because the dash...

    506 axle strength

I'm debating my next purchase and a 506 1 1/2 ton interests me. I'm looking for a non original truck I can drop a small block into. I'd replace the engine, trans, and t-case. Will the axles hold 9.00 x 20's and a mild V-8?

    run ins with law enforcement

One of the local PD loves it. He worked for a house moving company that used MV's to move houses. The State Trooper who lives across the street is cool. Never said a word knowing I hadn't registered it yet.

    Sarge seeks M35A2 radiator

I knew I should have bought that one locally for $150 back in August. You guys may want to try Erickson's Truck parts in Jackson, MN. They have a bunch on M35's. I've never had the chance to stop in but I did call for a radiator in June. At the time the guy quoted me $250 and he mentioned...

    OA331 Gasser Conversion to MF

Re: RE: OA331 Gasser Conversion to MF I remember my Dad saying that. He ran gassers in Germany. A multi would take them on the hills but on the flat the gasser would outrun them. If you aren't particular about the military look I've wondered if a Ford 300 would be a good gasser upgrade...
