    pontoon bridge

If he has enough parts you could do a three float cluster. It's been a long time since I put one together. The only difference from one to the other is the type of saddles used and their position relative to the other rafts.

    pontoon bridge

Might be part of an M4T6 float bridge. Not too bad to assemble. Needs a big compressor. Manual is TC 5-210. http://news.webshots.com/photo/1503008087081222945tuFRdM - not my pics but shows you what it is.

    Bobbed 5 Ton Pics

What's the length of an 818 back end? Assuming you leave the spare tire and tool box on. Drop the interaxle and hang some new springs.

    Engine swap fuel efficiency?

Over on another site for Duramax diesels guys with 4500 or 5500 4x4's are reporting 10-14 empty and 7-10 loaded. A 4x4 5500 has got to weight 11K. My 2500HD wieghts over 7K. One guy reported 8 mpg pulling 16K. I hauled 9K of rock in my deuce and there is no comparision the pulling power of a...

    Mileage and Deuces

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Mileage and Deuces it's hard to say until you see it. Mine has 34K on the odometer. I believe it to be accurate compared to the hours. Even though it's a '67 it has an engine originally built in '77. Who knows which engine has more miles on it. The first or the second?

    Engine Prelube Info....

What kind of pump is this? I spoke to an engineer at work. I specifically asked about what it would take to pump motor oil at zero degrees F. We looked up the viscosity of 30 weight at zero...very thick. Granted it will warm up quickly but if you are looking to find a pump that will work at...

    M923/M543A2 Axle Swap

That's interesting that the conversion above is using the more popular S cam brakes not the wedge brakes the 900 series uses. The spring brake on the std parking setup is functional but I'd want to mount the can directly onto the linkage and eliminate the cable. That might be challenging...

Last ditch fuel choices for a Multifuel....

Just you're luck the transformer you shoot is an ancient one that still has PCB's. You'd make it out only to die of some rare cancer down the road. Anyone ever try to convert a multi to propane???

Wisconsin allegedly cancelling Military vehicle titles.

I wonder if the next step is to ban private MV travel within Wisconsin even if it's licensed in another state. Born and breed in WI but for once glad I'm in Minnesota now.

What the heck is this for deuce????

Who was CMS? Not to high jack the thread but I remember AM General doing a repower of 800 series 5 tons that must have never made it. It was about the same time as the A3's. The repower was a Cummins M11, auto trans and CTIS/air brake axles.

    New style CJ deuce?

Bob, very interesting. What are your plans for doors? I'd use Wrangler doors. For the crewcab use two sets of fronts for added leg room. You mentioned A/C, how about the whole heater setup from a TJ?

My latest project (M1008 350CI Swap)

RE: Re: RE: My latest project (M1008 350CI Swap) ida34 is right. I forgot about the other two that are usually together in a single plug. Still any easy conversion.

My latest project (M1008 350CI Swap)

Normal GM 12 VDC alternators are a single wire. The voltage regulator is integral. All you need is a single wire to the battery to charge it. The CUCV running lights are already 12 VDC so there isn't much to change over. HEI ignition needs another hot wire to control it.

    Fort McCoy

I think he left last month. September. Unless he is mobbing out of McCoy he's not close.

M35 Air Brakes and road rangers

I'd find a 900 series truck or manual and look over the 5 ton axles. 900 series uses a wedge style actuator instead of an S cam that is more common. You might be able to adapt or make your own setup for the axles.

    Plastic tarp repair

I have a newer plastic cargo cover. Both windows have the stiching out of them. Someone said you can use a pool repair kit on rips. I'd like more info on this. I'm thinking of finding an extra swatch and getting rid of the windows completely.

    M211 tranny in M35

The Allison AT545 would be a good choice except for no overdrive. I've seen them for $300-500. SAE 3 mounting.
