I inspected this truck last week, I hope whoever bought it has access to parts. . .
IP is removed, junk radiator in place of original, NO...
Those who have blown a 6.2 headgasket, can you relate how and when it happened? Driving on the freeway, lugging the motor, or just cruising along minding your business. If the motor/truck was modified, how?, turbo, etc. . .?
I ask this because I am getting ready to put the Banks kit on my...
Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know, I applied for a SF97 2 weeks ago for a Deuce I bought in Nov. 2008 and received my paperwork today. Somehow this truck slipped through the cracks when I was getting titles, sucks because I had it sold 2 weeks ago until I found out I had no title. . . . :x...
I'm wondering about this, I have not purchased anything from GL that requires an EUC since Jan 2010. but I normally got them within 5-10 business days. I just bought (Jan 2011) a Mep 002 and a 1009 from Nellis. Called GL and they said my account had been flagged for periodic review. I called...
Coming back to Las Cruces today From Vegas had a problem with overheating. I'm hoping it's just the water pump, I had to stop every 20-30 miles to add water. . .
Really, Really tired. . . .
Truck ran good till I smelled antifreeze outside Casa Grande... went downhill from there.
Made it...

Finally got around to changing out the motor (blown head gasket when I got it) with a HMMWV 6.2 take out motor. The oil pan does fit the CUCV, thanks Kenny!, Swapped out all the quick disconnect sensors with the CUCV stuff, hope to fire her up tomorrow.

Impact on availability of HMMWV's?
UPDATE:GM's Deal To Sell Hummer To Chinese Company Falls Through - WSJ.com
Does anyone think this will change the current policy on the surplusing of these vehicles?
How many of you have trucks where the installers did not cut out the rear fender opening before installing the dually fenders on the bed? Mine were not cut out, and I just saw a pic of another SS members 1028A3 in the albums, and his were not cut out either.
Thanks,
Ed
Guys,
I have a truck that starts and runs ok, but has a slight miss. The #1 cylinder appears to be the culprit, checked exhaust manifold with IR thermometer. During my investigation I felt all the injector lines coming from the IP, #1 feels like someone is tapping on it with a hammer at the...
A while back there was some discussion about trying to get the manufacturer to do a run of boots in Black, has anyone heard anymore on this, I really want to use the silicone boots, but not in the rainbow of colors currently available. . .
Nevermind, just found them at Boyce. . .

Well today, I spent most of the day getting the donor into the operating room and ready for the transplant. My friend Steve helped me move the donor Deuce into the shop. We used the pintle side of a medium towbar (1 leg) so we would have positive control...
