Ah I didn't think of that... Teflon tape. It's a temporary fix but would air being sucked from the manifold heater pump on top of the engine cause a power loss? It should be sucked into the return side right? I didn't do anything with the fittings on the IP.
Thanks for all the ideas guys...
I'll check that out too hoop. Problem is, it acts and sounds like its just one cylinder having issues. Wouldn't they all miss if it was air in the main fuel line?
Thanks poppop! I will see what I can find! The filters have been changed not too long ago, but I wouldn't be surprised if maybe something got sucked out of the bottom of the tank. I may take an injector out just for the experience. It would be a first for me!
I don't think I disturbed abything but you know how that goes. Could it be an injector sticking open or some issue there? I won't get a chance to really look at it for a couple weeks due to work, so I want to get a list of things to check before I tear into it
Hey all,
I had a leaky manifold heater a few days ago, and repaired it yesterday with new o-rings, only to find the fittings on the lines from the pump to the heater were leaking too, so I sealed them up too, but didn't get a chance to test drive it yesterday, so I decided to drive it to work...
Hey all! Happy New Year!
I started off my new year with a leaking manifold heater and replaced the o rings in it only to find that almost every fitting on the manifold heater system, from the IP to the electric pump, was leaking as well. I put Teflon tape on them as a temporary fix but I know...
I'm getting ready to put a stereo in my truck. I plan on putting speakers like that for when I'm not driving and just want some tunes, then when I am making lots of noise, I am going to pipe it into my aviation intercom system so me and whatever passenger I have can wear my headsets and listen...
I'm a local emergency management director and almost every VFD around here has at least one M35A3 for a brush truck. They all seem to like them! Look pretty slick too!
I installed a GPS system on a tractor for a customer once that had something like this on it....he said it worked.....for a little bit, until part of it blew up and nearly caught the tractor on fire...aua
I'm anxious to go park it somewhere and see what kinda comments I get! I was afraid I would get some negative feedback about it from some of the family members, but one of them practically made me do it!
Hey all, I figured I would share my tribute to the local military members that are currently serving in Afghanistan. After conversing with the director of the town chamber of commerce, and a couple of the family members of the troops, I came up with this idea. So far, everyone that has seen it...
I was just thinking yesterday, "man this hard top wouldn't do much in a wreck". It looks like I was right!! I'm glad you are ok! The road I take to work here is very narrow, and I spend a lot of time on the grass avoiding other traffic, so I know how it feels to run off the side of the road...
I don't mean to hijack the thread, but can someone point me to a post about the hydraulic head issue? I've never heard of this and would like to learn more!
Thanks!
