    Removal of loader procedure

Thank you. That is enough to lift and lower the loader on / of the hooks of the mog? I will check the scrap yard tomorrow to see if something is laying around... ...ahh such a German Dutch environment... Love the pavers. Don't see them here very often.. Every time when I go back to the...

    Removal of loader procedure

Very nice. That is exactly what I had in mind. I cobbled something from double unistrut. What weight rating is the hand crank mechanism.

Hello Folks, all good here, was out of the loop for a while working on converting my e350 school bus / camper to 4x4. ..skoolie.net. Removal of loader procedure

Thank you all, will try with the loader from the other flu I have... Had hoped that I could make it into a one person manual field procedure. Outside of lip healed up well, still a pretty big boil on the inside. Tooth has a little funny feel to it. Johan

    Two new toys unimog 404

Thought to not handle heavy equipment today after my running in with a breaker bar. The rotted door from the Mog caught my eye. Keeping momentum is important so here it is. A piece of stainless from a postal office stamping machine up cycled to mog duty. It had one nicely set 90 degree angle...

    Two new toys unimog 404

Thank you David, when I got this mog that hood bracket was inverted and it sat on the bracket that holds the air intake. Did not make a whole lot of sense so I flipped it over. There is a really flimsy hood bracket on the driver side. This hood has already some fatique cracks that I need to...

    Removal of loader procedure

Thanks folks. Maybe my jack approach is not the best. I was hoping I could do this in a simple way.. Do not new broken headlights. My ego was already hurt enough when a breaker bar let go yesterday.. I am a lucky bastard.. That could have been a lot worse. Maybe better to take the other flu419...

    Pics from our first UNIMOG

Around 79or 80 I drove from the netherlands to Poland via Berlin. It was an interesting experience. Amazing that you took these vehicles out of Berlin. The pic quality is very good for conversion from super8. It looks like some tracked vehicles were there...what kind.

    Two new toys unimog 404

Yes this carburetor stuff is a lot of touch and feel.. I am sure mine is just hanging on its last legs... Did not have a working hood stick.. I assume the one that was on there is not original.. Either way a M8 stainless bolt has resolved the functional part.

    Two new toys unimog 404

It has been awhile.. At BenzWorld I had started a thread about a retrofit Capacitor Discharge Ignition without distributor. This was based on inexpensive CDI modules for ATV and such. The ignition coil pack comes out of a Ford F150 V6 pickup. Bought an extra CDI module to reverse engineer and...

    Two new toys unimog 404

well along with our Frankenstein project. At another forum, skoolie.net, I posted this progress from a skoolie perspective. Since both of these were with one leg in the grave the Frankenstein similarity is not far of. Turned the bus around and aligned it with the Mog. Still have 4 body mounts...

    Two new toys unimog 404

That is a handy lathe milling setup. The monarch EE that I have is very high end and a beautiful machine but most of my activity is on the old worn out south bend. The temp gauge saga had me stumped for a while. One gauge was working fine but I could not get the original one to work.. I...

    Two new toys unimog 404

Haha... To the scrap... Sofar no luck on Unimog 404 scrap gauges.. No replies to my request. Maybe they never break. Haha. So , still frustrated this morning and did a rough approach. Used the junkyard one where I soldered a 1/8 NPT fitting to. Made a build from a 1/8" female coupling and...

    Two new toys unimog 404

Today the ether came in. I tried to see if the old capillary is good but I think it is closed. I can not find a dent and I inserted a 0.1 MM wolfram wire about 4" into each side. So maybe it is open. I based it on ether coming out of the gauge when I unsoldered it and concluded that it was...

    Two new toys unimog 404

Hi David, the hardcab, ....restoration would be a big word when I compare that to your and others results but it need be functional with some style, Now the 404 bus / RV conversion , probably "blasphemy" ... I felt i had to give the poor thing, without a bed and roof a new purpose. i doubt the...
