repaired some of the wiring...
Plowed on a little. The driver door handle was loose. The rivets in the handle were broken and the rubber gasket long gone. Made a new gasket from edm rubber. One of the original holes in the door was a little of set and as a result there must have been more stress on the handle since it was...
I think it might have been a fire truck in a previous life.. There is red under the green paint. Maybe this bed belongs to the other truck.. Not all bolts are in. Thank you..both.. With that resolved I can see if the camper build has an application for it..
Today I took the remaining air...

The first one made it home. Did not go passed 60 km/h . Need to get used to reverse only in low gear. Now I can work easily on the electric , rust while me and the wife are getting used to the new grocery getter.

I found two items in the bed that I cannot place..

Thank you Johan

4x4 handle was stuck. some oil and knive blade between the ball and divet got it unstuck. PTO works.
Did anybody talk about the about the knuckle buster between the parking brake...
Great, I found the frame number and it matches the title , got it insured today. Working thru some electrical glitches. This truck has an original electric fuel pump. Pretty rare so not on the diagram. An hour wire tracing and with help of my oldest daughter when beeping some of the wires found...
Hi Ferretboy, Just came home working on the brakes, The brake hose set for the 404 still has not arrived from Argentina. Glad I modified to more regular parts. So the flex hose to the rear axle was blocked but a mercedes W123 clutch hose is a drop in . It uses different style clips.

Amazing how many options were available or combinations were made... somehow I get the same vibe as with the ONAN 4 and 5.0CCK generators.. a different schematic and manual for each application.
Finally got the last wheel off, no spider, or at least not at home.
The rear cylinders do not look...
I like to continue this thread as the flu owner thread is very hard to follow.
So today I took a look inside the transmission of the broken flu419.
I expected the shift collar from forward reverse to be stuck ..but it is not.. The shiftcollar from 4th gear is free and moveable but does not...
Yes that is great, I assume you meant 3/4" to the top o the chassis or bottom of the cross member?
Now I can do some calculations.
Unfortunately the hard can with bed is constructed differently.
One side of the truck is directly connected to the bed and the other side has short flexing stubs on...
