Got a few HMMWV tires in today!

Hundy, any of the newer MT/R's or Baja tires? Put 3 RunFlats in the back of the deuce for me would you? Thanks! Clarke

    M35a3 pto

Anyone have a source or part number for that hydraulic pump on the back of the compressor? I really wanted a winch A3, but ended up winning a WoW truck. I'm thinking a MileMarker 12K Hydraulic Winch, a custom reservoir and that pump plus a little fabrication and I'm good to go. Probably much...

    A3 wheel valve stems

No ideas, but I'd be interested in some of the CTIS bit's your taking off. I'm going to try and make that work on my A3.

    What engine

Not as a production line build. I am 95% sure there are some out there from taking to folks who do conversions. It is easier to do it in a HMMWV than it is a civvie Hummer.

    Drivetrain Swap vs. Truck Swap

Dilvoy is a perfectionist. What he doesn't tell you is that his truck has been down for upgrades for what? 10 years now George? The primary driveline differences between an A0 and a A2 with the TD motor and 4L80E tranny is a small body lift of .5", a shorter rear driveshaft, a NP242AMG...

    how to soundproof the humvee

In a diesel. oil turning black right after a oil change is normal. If you have the 3-speed tranny( No park in the shift selector) then as someone else said you _will_ be buying a new engine As your at red-line as those seeds. 55 to 60 is "safe". If you are fortunate to have the 4-speed...

    Arctic Heaters in HMMWV

Yes, there are arctic insulation kits and heater kits available for the HMMWV's. You see them in the classifieds or on eBay from time to time.

For anyone wanting more speed for your deuce

What is the stock axle ratio in the A2? Is the A3 axle a different ratio? I could see an A3 - which comes without an OD tranny benefiting... Cheers, Clarke

    HMMWV Frame Color

Gloss black for most of the Hummer frames. Flat black CARC for the HMMWV francs. Early 92 and 93 Hummers were flat black I believe - although I don't know if they were CARC.

    M35a3...

Consider is about 8MPG x 50 Gallons = 400 miles. You could add a tank to the bed and gravity feed the main tank if needed. As others said, top speed at redline is 56MPH. 45 constantly or 50-55 for short periods is fine. There are lots of choices for new tires that fit the rims - even some...

    M35a3...

Partially correct. The A3 is (mostly) the same truck, but with a 4 speed non-overdrive transmission. The A2 will be happier at highway speeds than the A3. A3 specific parts are harder to find and more expensive as they are much rarer (5400 A3's vs 100,000's of A2's and earlier). Engine might...

    Thanks - I'll ask him.

Anyone going to Barstow to inspect?

Thanks for the post - do you recall if there were any flats? Someone else mentioned a flat. As it's an A3, I shouldn't be surprised if there is a flat... I'm struggling - I want to go recover it in person, but without a good set of eye's on it first, I'm thinking it's probably better to call in...

Anyone going to Barstow to inspect?

Ron, That's the one. Anyone else know more? Anyone headed to Barstow any time soon? It's 400 miles so I bought sight unseen. Regards, Clarke
