I like the 12v 5.9's, but they are so **** popular you could find a mechanical DT466 for cheaper. More cubes, more robust engine, easy to find with air compressors, can be found stock up to 300 or so hp and the inline pump versions are just as easy to turn up as the 12v cummins.
I want to get a Solargizer. I was looking at the mil-spec one (part #IS-24-L for $54.00 online), but noticed that they also make one with an a/c adapter (for $215!), pictured below. Can you add this a/c adapter to the IS-24-L? Thanks
A 4 wheel steer bobbed 5 ton could sure make a great snow plow truck. Can be very safe if done right, a rear lock out should be used for road use. FYI- Some of the street legal Oshkosh plow trucks have it, might be a good place to start for ideas.
Looks like a common industrial work station light, which are avaliable in 24 volt. This one is NOT it, but it is an example of a 12v one. MSC Item Detail=
I sure it's posted, but I can't find it. What are the deuce's track width- from mounting plate to mounting plate, front and rear- before and after a rear hub flip? Thanks
The M35A3 has a floor covering in it, as show in the attached pictures. Can anyone tell me what it's made of and how it's attached? Is it tight, loose, a pita or a nice addition? Thx
Measured the exhaust noise today with a certified meter. At ear level in the cab, windows open but not driving, I measured a max of 98.9db. Under the dash, measured a max 108.2db. Seems like the engine and the rattling makes more noise then the exhaust does. I'll remeasure after the muffler...
I think it's a good reincarnation for a rotted out 5 ton. Rotted out military trucks can be found for $1000 and even fairly late model truck cabs off a wreaker are cheap. Could build a good runner, comfortable 5 ton crew cab for $2k
Looks nice! Here's another nice looking plow setup. Very similar to yours, but the front mount is higher, which also spaces the rear mount back further. If I find a cheap used plow, I'll do the same.

I am thinking about either Goodyear MVT or Michelin XML's in 395's. Has anyone run both and which ones performed better on/off road? The XML's are more aggressive, but tread compound can make a big difference too.
You can buy a very nice driver close to home for less than a what a project/bargin unit you will end up costing you after getting it towed home. Find a good one, and as others have said, get insurance and drive it.
People keep mentioning that they roll easier, but in the video the cab of the rolled truck is intact and sound... roll an M35 and its flat, and most likely so are the driver/passengers. Many also talk about how they are too lightweight and cheap, but empty they are roughly 4000 lbs more then a...
