That seems odd. As far as ive seen, the lunette ring is always up.
FYI: lunette ring is the loop on the trailer. The pintle hitch/hook is on the truck side.

The only difference is the new blower has a ground wire. The original grounds to the body. You'll just need to wire that ground to the frame and use the connector off the original motor.
I wonder if the cold air inlet could be re-routed to in the cab. Then you'd be heating air that's not so freezing.
Also: many M939 trucks with the original heater cores need a good flush on the core. I need to do mine.

1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC is the minimum value of a timestamp field in mysql. It pretty much means there is no value stored there. Not a bug/glitch, just a case not fully handed by the board code.
You'll need to drain some coolant to get it off. I'd just drain into a cean bucket from the radiator. Remove, clean, and lube the shutter stat, replace, then pour the coolant back in.
I need to clean mine again. It's starting to stick open again.
Put the back nut on so that it's about 1/4" from snug. Basically a little gap. Set the parking brakes. Get a good long tow strap. Hook it to your truck and hook it to the ring. Drive your truck out so the strap is taut. Then hit the ring with a sledge a couple times. The tension should pop it loose.
