    any cucv's in utah...lets play

I was mostly being sarcastic. I actually enjoy driving 50-ish on the highway when everyone else is trying to do 85+.

    any cucv's in utah...lets play

Pretty sure it'll take me like 3 days to drive from Cache down to Utah County. lol

    any cucv's in utah...lets play

Last year cache county didn't require emissions for my truck, but this year the laws changed and they will require it. Kinda sucks.

The testing itself is pretty easy. My M923A2 with the 8.3L 6CTA engine passed, hitting less than 50% of the max allowances.

    M1101 Upside down lunette ring

That seems odd. As far as ive seen, the lunette ring is always up. FYI: lunette ring is the loop on the trailer. The pintle hitch/hook is on the truck side.

    939 heaters

NAPA: BK 6551320 The only difference is the new blower has a ground wire. The original grounds to the body. You'll just need to wire that ground to the frame and use the connector off the original motor.

    I'd meet up. I don't have a CUCV though. My ride is a M923A2.

    939 heaters

I wonder if the cold air inlet could be re-routed to in the cab. Then you'd be heating air that's not so freezing. Also: many M939 trucks with the original heater cores need a good flush on the core. I need to do mine.

35 amps is a bit much to put on your alternator. Might want to upgrade that.

Did I find some kind of glitch

1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC is the minimum value of a timestamp field in mysql. It pretty much means there is no value stored there. Not a bug/glitch, just a case not fully handed by the board code.

M923A1 coolant system overpressurizing when COLD and not running ?

Have you tightened all you hose clamps on the coolant lines? They get loose in the cold.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I have got to do that one. Those little valves can be a pain to open and close.

Major air leak at Fan shutter-stat

You'll need to drain some coolant to get it off. I'd just drain into a cean bucket from the radiator. Remove, clean, and lube the shutter stat, replace, then pour the coolant back in. I need to clean mine again. It's starting to stick open again.

    New M923A2 Owner

If you replace your clamps, use the ones that self adjust to keep a constant pressure so you don't have to tighten them in the winter.

Filter or oiler on CTIS Line??

Filter. With no pressure, unscrew it. There's a filter that'll drop out. Not sure why the bottom nipple is threaded though. Mine is too.

    Missing ring gear?

Glad I didn't buy that truck. I like the one I got from 98G much better.

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

Nice work. That should keep it well protected.

just got a m105A2, need help on lunnete tow ring flip

Put the back nut on so that it's about 1/4" from snug. Basically a little gap. Set the parking brakes. Get a good long tow strap. Hook it to your truck and hook it to the ring. Drive your truck out so the strap is taut. Then hit the ring with a sledge a couple times. The tension should pop it loose.
